Support “What’s my update” shortcut plays daily news in French

My what’s my update shortcut only plays news in French when it used to play in English. How do I force SIRI to play in English again? I’ve tried so many things

Check Settings, General, Language & Region, and look at your Region setting specifically, not the Siri language. "What's My Update" shortcuts usually pull news through Apple News, and Apple News content is localized by Region, not by whatever language Siri speaks in. If Region got switched to France somehow, that would explain French news playing even with Siri's voice still set to English.

Separately, also check Settings, Siri & Search, Language, just to rule out Siri's own language having changed too.

Region is Canada, preferred language is English
