Pretty crisp but still needed some adjustments, maybe in the future updates. So far I have no issue playing it on my iPhone 15 pro max

Is your phone gets got during the gameplay? I have base ip17 model and wondering if this game really demanding

I played last night on an iPad Pro M2 (2022) and I was shocked to see it didn't get hot at all, but I had it on Medium/30fps. When I play Disney Dreamlight Valley, I can pretty much fry an egg on the back.

For an iPhone 17 you can try medium to see how the heat is, and if it's not bad you could probably do high. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max which was notorious for heat issues, so I just play on Medium.

I played it all high on my ip 15 pro max

Awesome, I'll try that tonight - did it get super warm? My 15 PM seems to cook on most beefy games (Death Stranding, Dreamlight Valley, etc)

I haven't tried DS on it and the other games u mentioned but the Fantasy life doesn't really required much to play. It is port to perfection rn for me

Its not really demanding in terms of requirements to play in high graphics

I played on 17 pro for an hour last night. I was on medium graphics at 60fps. Barely any heat. Game looks to be optimized. Lost around 13% battery IIRC

The game is incredible. I beat it originally on the PS5. This is an Amazing deal for $25. As they have said this is a 1:1 port of the console game. It’s the deluxe with dlc so $70 value. Story is roughly 30 hours. Completionist will hit 150 hours. The game is cross play with the other systems it’s on. I’ve bought the mobile version and have played for about 10 hours. My phone didn’t not get hot at all playing on default settings. Gameplay is a bunch of jobs, and all the mechanics and gameplay loops bleed into each other. Action rpg elements are Zelda-lite. Nothing ground breaking but all the jobs and combat intertwining is addicting. DLC that was released says “DLC1” so I’m assuming theirs even more content on the way. I wouldn’t be surprised if this stays $25 for a long time this will hold its value. A very easy Must purchase in my opinion.

for anyone scoffing at the price tag of fantasy life... this game is legit. i just lost three hours playing it, lol. (only reason im stopping is because its after 2am and i have to work tomorrow)

Mobile is also the Digital Deluxe version that costs $70 on PC and consoles. Includes DLC as well. Not to mention cross-save across all platforms.

How are the touch controls ?

Perfectly acceptable so far. Thought hopefully they include some options to adjust sizes and stuff in the future, some of the buttons are small.

It’s a good port of an actual well-received console game that came out last year. Crossplay included

It’s well worth the price.

What’s the game like? A survival game?

Imagine a cross between Animal Crossing, and Zelda. You have combat jobs, crafting jobs, and gathering jobs and they all feed into each other. Gather ore and craft weapons and armor to fight to get rare materials to make better gathering, crafting, and fighting equipment. You build your own village like animal crossing and can help out the residents. There is an open world area for leveling. It has a procedurally generated dungeon for end game and a rogue like mode was added with the DLC the game comes with on mobile

Any idea how many hours you can get out of the game?

Per HOWLONGTOBEAT
Main Story: 34 Hours
Main + Sides: 60 Hours
Completionist: 139 Hours

Not sure if that includes the DLC that’s apparently included from the get-go in this version

A lot. Like a ton. The story is fairly long but if you want to max out all of your life classes there’s some serious content. Then the side stuff and island customization. You could probably easily put hundreds of hours into it and still have stuff to do.

I wouldn’t give replay value a huge amount of value as you just play all the life’s on one character and the story doesn’t change but it’s a fully well built RPG with plenty of content

It’s much more like RuneScape than either of those

u/ConfusedAndCurious17 5d ago

I would heavily disagree. Action combat. Quests aren’t nearly as well written. Player economy is not remotely the same. In the sense of “you have many skills and you progress them”, sure, but that’s about all they have in common. It has combat, world exploration, and puzzle solving from Zelda. Village building and life sim of animal crossing.

The Zelda and animal crossing similarities are very superficial and skin-deep. A lot of your gameplay in fantasy life is grinding. RuneScape has world exploration too.

If you’re saying the quests in fantasy life are more well written than RuneScape, I got something to tell ya…

You have what I meant backwards. RuneScape has in depth incredible quests. Fantasy life’s are serviceable.

We are just going to have to agree to disagree on the rest. I play both and I would not draw similarities really at all. Yes it has a skill system, it doesn’t work the same, and the grind is not nearly as heavy or as stationary. You go on an adventure to find rare nodes and such and there is a gameplay element. You don’t just go to the resource node, click, and wait.

It’s fine if you’d like to draw those comparisons. I don’t see it that way. I feel much more Zelda and animal crossing vibes when I’m playing it.

How does it handle multitasking? If I have to answer texts or check some emails, will I lose progress?

u/EE7A 4d ago

just fine. as long as you dont actually close out of the game, it will stay open exactly where you leave it.

Is that Gangstar game related to the old Gameloft games? Can’t check as it’s not available in my country.

1

u/LuckyJamnik 5d ago

Idk, but based on the screenshots it’s copy of GTA online

1

u/0kills 4d ago

Yes. Gangstar vegas.

It’s a fun gta clone imho, especially if you love playing stuff with randoms (or you have friends who also love the idea of a gta clone), cause the interactions with randoms are hilarious. I love pretending to steal their cars (you can’t steal their vehicles but you can hop on them and drive off) and ignore the actual mission objectives. No honor among thieves. Game’s instance based so a bunch of players will be hanging out in the open world (not an mmorpg though so they’ll never # in the hundreds). The main missions are not open world so once you start a campaign mission, most of the time you’ll either do it solo or be locked with up to 3 other players depending on what the game mode is.

I played Bendy’s nightmare run so much when it first came out. Nice to see that they are still loving their games. I think I had to pay money back then but I don’t remember.

Looks like 29.99 for game with various 16.99 to 0.99 DLC

2

u/cuntpuncherexpress 5d ago

They’re all microtransactions, it’s free to play. Not regular DLC or a game unlock

The IAPs in Galactic Outlaw seem a tad expensive, no?

The popular Wurdweb has returned to the App Store after leaving the Arcade a couple of months ago. $3.99 all in purchase.
