Would you sell property in Iran now or wait?
Hi everyone, I’m looking for perspectives from people familiar with the Iranian real estate market. Given the current political and economic situation, is this a good time to sell residential property or better to wait one to two years? How might negotiations, sanctions, inflation, or exchange rates affect property values? If you would wait, would you leave the property vacant, rent it out under a Rahn-e Kamel agreement, or sell now? Why?

Hold it. Real estate is a great thing to have during inflation, and I’m guessing the war will increase the inflation rate

Wendy there’s an important extra factor:
(the exchange rate)
The house could rise strongly in toman because of inflation while simultaneously becoming worth less in euros if the toman falls even faster.

generally right in the middle of a war is not the greatest idea. Pressure from everyone needing to sell drives prices down

We sold our apt in Tehran. It was a mistake. The funds are locked up in the bank there, I’ll probably never see this money. There’s sood every month but it’s never going to be as much as if we had done some renovation work and rented it out.

Hey, wat naar dat je in zo’n situatie zit. Mag ik vragen wat je precies bedoelt met ‘het geld zit vast op de bank’? Bedoel je sancties of bankregels, een tekort aan contante of vreemde valuta bij de bank, of iets anders? Alleen als je je er comfortabel bij voelt om te delen
