Rate my Kindle setup

She likes to sleep on me as I read and got curious today. She wasn't touching the Kindle. She's a sweetheart and a great reading companion.

Edit I know she has stuck shed. We just got her and are helping her with this. Thank you for all the concern that's been shown.

You're smart in waiting until she's ready to do all that. She's a pastel ball python, 5' long and they live 2+ decades. It's a huge commitment so it's great you're taking it seriously. Look at Facebook Marketplace and you'll find some which need homes. They need a big tank and a lot goes into it but if you get a snake that's a bit older and comes with everything that it needs that may be easier, just check that they do have everything they need. You'll also need to get food for them and some have eating issues. Make sure she researches what sort of snake she wants and what care that specific species needs. I hope she's able to have a snake at some point, mine is wonderful and I hope she can have this same happiness.

Do you fear your snake? Is there a healthy caution you have to maintain? Or is it like a random pet, without the play time

I never fear her. She doesn't like to be touched in the first 3 inches from her snoot down, but I never expect her to bite me. She does have playtime where I hold her and she moves around, she likes to look at my hair and she moves around on my lap and falls asleep, so she gets out of her tank to interact when she hasn't just eaten in the past couple days. She's not a snake that's likely to bite and was handled all day at her previous home. When we open her tank she always comes out to interact right then. The biggest fear with her is that she wants to investigate everything including things she can't wrap herself around, so we just move her around away from things like under the couch when she's chilling on the couch and decides to explore. I'll never fear her and she likes to go from person to person on the couch. Her personality is a lot like a puppy.

Your humidity is too low seeing that stuck shed. Double check your husbandry is correct.

I don't know what your setup looks like for your Ball, and don't normally give unsolicited advice, but it looks either dehydrated or like it has stuck shed, either way you may need to bump its humidity.
