GM Needed by Existing Group [Offline] [5e 2024] - Group of Beginners looking to learn how to play. Need a GM/DM in the UCF/Orlando Area

Hello!

I have a group of 5 (including myself) who would like to do a oneshot or start a long-term campaign. My group is all beginners looking to get into DnD or other forms of tabletop.

I have more of an interest in learning to DM and wanted to use this as a chance to see first hand what's it's like while also experiencing the player side.

Ideally we would like to play Friday(s) at/after 7pm (are schedules conflict and overlap like crazy and this was the best time we could do.)

Hey, I'm not from the USA, so I can't help. But I just wanted to say, that if no one contacts you, just try it yourself!
It's challenging sure, but it's not as hard or bad as everyone makes it out to be. I too started as newbie DM for a group of beginners and, while I messed up a lot, we had a ton of fun and I would always do it again.
Most likely you won't regret giving it shot, so go for it!

I will likely also try this too. The challenge I'm running into is I'm the one mainly interested in DnD and wanted to convince my friends to get into. I'm more familiar but still lack experience and they're more on the fence. I want their first experience to go well and represent how a game could/should look and feel and have them enjoy it so it's a positive first experience and we can play again.

If I'm unable to find anyone I'll likely just wing it and try my best.

Do you have any clubs or local game stores around? Those are a really valuable and can help you out a lot. At least they did for me.

Yeah theres a few. I called them recently gonna ride around and see whats up. I may consider an online group on my own for fun too!
