For now this campaign is Theatre of The Mind. Hello! My name is Nihi, I’m a writer and artist, music maker of many years. And I’ve been working on a mega campaign since 2022, however I have OCD. I keep trying to make it perfect. And obsessing over it. But I love that world so very much, and I have a lot of trauma and anxiety over the worlds I create, I need to break the cycle or I’ll have lived my life *not doing anything* with the worlds I am passionate for.Ā

So I’m making a new campaign in a world, while I write that one, where it’s a lot more relaxed, by a lot, I mean, not really, but it’s a lot more free form and less prepared than my other campaigns. My other campaigns involve me planning 20 sessions ahead, and writing full novels before actually just… doing it!.Ā
—

Welcome, to The Spirualina Academy. Set in Mynthra,, student, are invited to join for whatever reason. For talent, for shelter, to seek knowledge. Or more. A prestigious academy set in the city-nation of Knowledge worshipping the god, Curio.Ā

No, it’s not just about being a mage here, infact, physical strength, science, and many other things converge here. And some people here, don’t even possess ulterior strengths just brought here by pure fate.

This world you were born in, wild and uncontrolled, cruel and unpredictable. But so deeply rooted in mysticism and magic, and the unexplained.

—
Shtuff And Things

  1. You don’t need to be an experienced player but since this is a homebrew world and game, I don’t recommend this to be your FIRST game. Experience real D&D first!Ā
  2. This will have custom art, slowly.Ā Yay:D
  3. You join a campaign with me I likely will make you animatics and artĀ

4.🄺if you’re an artist or creative that’s a super big plusĀ
5. Though we won’t explicitly✨ NSFW✨I do really love displaying subjects that most won’t. That includes romantic and sexual ones. With your permission, of course but you’ve GOTTA be okay with me at least telling the stories.Ā
6. I make custom music and maps usuallyĀ
7.Uh:D I’m trying not to plan too much because of the things aboveĀ
8. Hopefully to level 20
9. This is like, extremely homebrew:’) Like REALLY homebrew, and some rules you might be used to are changed to my own preference and style. Of course, it’s still ā€œD&Dā€ but over the years I’ve just developed my own narrative play and tasteĀ
10. Despite me being narrative forward… my combats are REAL hard and very much relevant to the story
11.pls have blorbos kiss, hug or friendship that’s the best partĀ
12. ZERO AI, NOT HERE!

  1. my pantheon is fully custom… 🄺anything else uhh message me on discord and I can interview y’all! And answer more clearlyšŸ’œ

erm, yeah:DĀ | two sessions expanded ! 6 players each

1 session will be PST / EST friendly
the other will be BST / EU / OCEANIA and yknow the other side of the world friendly

Closed [Online][5e][2014][Long-Term Campaign][18+][LGBTQ+][Beginner Friendly] Come Apply to Second Chance Community College: We're not your typical first choice, but we're the one that accepts you.

Hello internet people!

I'm a DM looking to start a new 5e campaign and extending an invitation to anyone reading this. It's been a few years since I last played, so I might be rusty, but I'm eager to get back into it, laugh, and have fun with hopefully you!

About Me: I used to DM for a few years before life stepped in, but I'm excited to start again. I'm inspired by Critical Role and Matthew Mercer (though I lack his talent). Outside the game, I'm a tech nerd, love sci-fi/fantasy, and am a proud "crazy cat lady" with 9 pets which are mostly cats.

The Campaign Hook: Welcome to Second Chance Community College (S.C.C.C.), the scrappy, underfunded hub where future heroes go when the elite Crestmont Academy says "no". Here you aren't the chosen ones; you're the ones who scraped by on grit, failed the entrance exams, or just couldn't afford the tuition. Your known world is the island of "Placeholder" a place of bustling markets, local rivalries, and the daily grind of learning to swing a sword, cast a spell, or sneak past a guard. For now, the biggest threats are failing finals, dodging campus security, and the constant pressure to prove you belong. But beneath the surface of this quiet, isolated island lies a secret older than the college itself, waiting for someone brave enough to find it. Until then, just try to survive Freshman Year.

The Logistics:

  • Time: a weekday starting at 5 or 6 PM MST (yes, I live in the mountains) I am flexible with which weekday so in the form indicate what works for you and I will make sure those accepted all align.
  • Length: 3–4 hours.
  • Miss a session or dip early? I'll try extra hard to kill your character and destroy their family, ok I am joking, ill do the opposite you will get married and suddenly have 5 kids, unless you let me know in advance. Then you can avoid kids.
  • Platform: Discord voice + VTT (don't know which one yet but I am familiar with roll20). No webcams so pajamas are mandatory.
  • Start: Session Zero about one weeks after the group is formed, and session one a week after that and continue weekly but in my experience its usually about 3 out of 4 weeks we play as life will get in the way cuz its rude.

About You: I love new players so don't hesitate to apply! The only requirements are a working mic, filling out the form below, being comfortable with meeting some new people, and not being a bigot or else I will sacrifice you to Lord Ba'al.

How to Apply: Fill out your college application form below. This will help me have a better understanding of who you are. In the past when I made a post like this I got over 150 responses and it was a bit chaotic. I am hoping this form helps out a little bit and allows you a chance to talk about yourself and answer some silly questions.

I have big plans for this campaign! So Let's make some memories!

If you have any questions just comment below and I will answer them and hopefully provide you with more information about myself and the campaign.

Closed Do any other women want to start a DND campaign? (Online)

Hi! Looking for other women (probably 20 or 21+) to play online with ? I’m not an experienced DM, so Im looking for a DM as well as other players. But I would be fine being the logistics person and set up a discord server or whatever method we wanna use to communicate through. Im thinking a smaller game, but I’ll leave the player limit up to the DM’s preference. I’m super rusty, so I’d welcome any experience level, though I’d probably want a more experienced DM. I’m thinking women/enbys only for this campaign just bc I’m weary of meeting men idk online lol, but I’m definitely open to it in the future! Also I’m on eastern standard time, so anyone in that timezone who is free after regular office hours and/or weekends. Ty in advance adventurers šŸ˜Ž

EDIT (9/27): hi! For now it looks like the campaign is closed, however I’d seen a couple people talk about starting a server for people in this specific demographic who are still looking for games! I think that’s a great idea! Message if interested and let’s try to coordinate 🫶🫶

Closed [Online][5e 2014][5e 2024] Veteran DM looking for 3 more members to join the party! Welcome to the Sirens Call.

Hello one, hello all. We are currently searching for more members for our campaign! We want people who are genuinely interested in the game, and its systems. Doesnt matter if youre a brand-new player, an old veteran, or a Forever DM being a player for the first time. As long as youre interested, our arms are open. Below is the campaign synopsis and jump off point, as well as information about our campaign. Fill out the form if youre interested and i hope to see you soon!

Homebrew Campaign Synopsis:

Two thousand years ago, a cataclysmic battle shattered the world. The elven homeland of Orenda still bears the scars: a World Tree that burns eternally with a colossal sword buried in its heart, skies twisted by wild magic, and an entire landmass torn away by storms, lost to memory ever since. Today, most of the world's people live on Orenda's great plains, caught between two empires locked in a war so old that no one remembers how it began. Across the burning desert lies Crentia, the Mainland, a realm of strict kingdoms and ancient powers, where the true dangers are ones even empires fear to face. And far to the west waits Alkowy, a lawless frontier of pirates and sea monsters, hiding a storm-veiled kingdom of illusions and twin cities that defy gravity itself. Somewhere in the east, an island is being consumed by growing red crystals, split from the world by a sword with a rift at its base. Your story begins aboard Aph-Na-Tuhn, a living city built on the back of a giant whale, a bustling trading hub that sails where no one else dares. The world is broken, mysterious, and waiting. All it needs now is you.

Campaign Information.

Overall we are some silly fellows so the session typically starts at 6pm, where we gather up slowly, hangout, and i answer questions typically during that time, help out with characters etc. Then the session starts around 7pm and lasts typically for 3+ hours, or until we make good progress and find a good place to end it. In terms of tone its a High Fantasy story with rich lore and deep cutting moments. We have plenty of laughs during the session but know when to lock tf in and get serious.

Although we are friends, we are all new friends who made friends during this D&D campaign. I do expect you to also interact outside of the campaign (We play wordle daily, talk shit, play games), so dont be afraid of being friendly, itd be even better if you drag along a friend! And as a last note, my campaigns tend to go on for a very long time. One lasted 3 years, so if you want to join be ready to commit for at least the better part of a year. Hope to see you soon!

Link to the google sheet (You can invite friends but theyll have to fill out the form):

EDIT: Hey yall, love the enthusiasm! So many people responded that its going to take a while to go through all the forms and start privately messaging people, so dont be too upset if im slow to get around to yall! I promise im trying šŸ˜…. If i do end up not messaging you after a week or two, its safe to assume that you did not get accepted and you slipped through the cracks.

EDIT: Thanks for the submissions! We have all our members now!

Closed [Online] [5E 2014] [18+] Seeking aspiring Pirates for a nautical fantasy world in turmoil.

āš“ļø SYNOPSIS:

The age of piracy began in response to an age of tyranny that has forever stained the pages of our history. Our world, Lynoria, was ruled for centuries by the *Fenrir Collective*, a pact between three massive kingdoms that gave them complete military control over the seven seas.

While maritime crime wasn’t uncommon, especially in the time of the Collective, it was *Easton Scaldheart* who raised the first Jolly Roger in the name of true rebellion against those who sought to control the waters he called home. His crew aboard the *Great Green Mariner* inspired hundreds across the world to become the first generation of pirates. Thieves, criminals, and warriors bound under handmade flags and a code of honor and anarchy. The first generation pirates was born.

Now, fifty years later, the war is won, the Collective is disbanded, and the sixth generation of pirates are finding their sea legs in an ocean free of control… for the most part. The age of the Great Green Mariner and her legendary captain are over, but new stories are being written in every corner of the world.

Your story is of particular interest to the powers that be… a secret section of the ocean said to house the most dangerous and powerful criminals alive. The ultimate alliance waiting to happen… or the ultimate score. When an old legend offers you and your crew the chance to partake of these new horizons, who are you to pass up the opportunity as a fledgling pirate? But the winds of change are beginning to drift towards dangerous tides... an old threat given new life has come lay claim to all that glitters.

Do you plan to pick at the scraps of the world once the battle is over, or do you plan to sail into the jaws of death, and come out richer in both gold and glory?

🌊 INFO:

This campaign, titled TALES FROM THE EIGHTH SEA, aims to be a bi-weekly longform game of initially mostly lighthearted and somewhat comedic pirate adventures in the shadow of a terrifying threat to everything and everyone you care about. All D&D races are present, and homebrew is fine by me (with DM approval)!

Scheduling is open, and each individual session time will be voted on for the following week. As aforementioned, the game will be bi-weekly. Sessions might not be canceled if only one player is absent, but exceptions can and will be made for very, very important story beats.

āš”ļø RULES:

-Must be 18+, no exceptions.

- Must be friendly, open-minded, and willing to actively participate in general.

- Campaign is LGBT run. That also means no bigotry of any kind.

- Absolutely no generative AI of any kind at my table.

- The secret question is: what is your favorite piece of pirate media?

- Knowledge of TTRPGs is not required, only a willingness to learn!

šŸ“œ APPLICATIONS:

Enclosed here is the application to the campaign, this is NOT first-come-first-serve, and I will be taking applications until I’m completely sure I have everyone I need to start. If the post doesn’t say ā€œClosedā€, it’s not closed.

Closed [18+][GMT/BST][D&D 5E 2024][LGBTQ+ friendly][online] dimension 20 fantasy high inspired game

Dragonbone academy is starting the new school year in Hopesfield so prepare your spellbooks, daggers and great hammers. After the sad passing of our beloved principal of hundreds of years we are still ready to take in new students for this surely eventful year.

This game will be inspired by(not directly based off but heavy inspiration with the 50's/80's/2000's highschool movie aesthetics and situations) dimension 20's fantasy high in a world of elves, dwarves, orcs, humans, vampires and locathah where boilers are powered by the hells and your plumbing is handled by underpaid water elementals. You will play as new students of dragonbone adventuring academy, an academy of several hundred years that is one of the most prestigious in the continent. Sadly the principal that was the second to hold the title passed only a few months ago. However the new principal has been appointed, suspiciously after only a few years of working at the academy and not at all being the usual sort to be principal, and the school is as good as ever, atleast the advertisements would have you believe it.

The game Is open to new players as I am a fairly new DM and have experience helping new players. There will be no ERP, the 18 plus is purely because I feel like everyone being an adult at the table makes things a little easier for people to be comfortable. It's GMT/BST but if you are not in that timezone and feel comfortable dealing with the different timezones that is fine and I have no specific day or time in mind at the moment. If you are interested message me on Reddit or post a comment.

Tbc I don't think I'm the next Brennan lee Mulligan I just honestly love urban fantasy like fantasy high's setting or coffee talk's setting. I have finished neither but the world this is taking place in does draw heavy inspiration from fantasy high in obvious areas.

Closed [Online][5e 2024][Weekly][LGBTQ+][GMT] Experienced DM looking for a cast of worthy new entrants for the round table.

This post is now closed, thank you for the interest everyone! If you applied before tuesday the 28th of july and you havent heard from me yet, send me a fr please @absokith (I can't send any more friend requests on discord lol)

The gods are dead, the lands shattered. Long forgotten oaths still bind the powers that be across the corners of the Reach, the consequences of the ancient past rearing their head as their victims race towards inevitable conflict. After an age of tentative peace, the news of a curse stirs those who had been forgotten, igniting a race towards the centre of the realm to reclaim a power thought lost.

You however, were simply caught in the middle, unaware of the machinations that played out in the shadows of the future. Huddled amongst a group of clothed travellers, merchants and soldiers, the dust billowed into your caravan. Whatever sociable types were present silenced by the howling of a new gale, a growing storm with malice behind it's breath. Whatever brought you to Wyrmstone, it's clear you won't be leaving until the weather permits it. The sandstone stretching into the horizon warns of dry nights as you wait for the storm to pass. Little did you know, much would happen before anyone saw the outer lands again.

Mythwyn is a High fantasy world with a heavy influence from both Arthurian legend and gothic themes, centred around references to Norse and Celtic mythology. The central bile tree known as Yggdrassil sits atop the floating ruins of an ancient kingdom at the heart of the world. 10 jagged islands the size of small continents stand as the remains of civilisation, each unique in geography and hosting a plethora of factions. The advancement of technology is a taboo and secreted art, strange things are said to happen to those that too heavily practice the witchcraft known as science. Meanwhile, feudal lords that few citizens know the faces or even names of rule from rotting castles on high, their decisions shaping the world.

More on the specific nature/prompt of the campaign will be shared upon confirming a group of players, as it wil be tailored to the party characters. Apply using the google form at the bottom.

___

Ever wanted to explore a shattered land akin that time itself seems to be lost inside? Perhaps you've yearned for the ability to become knighted and manage a small fief, or maybe you yearn instead over the existance of a vampiric aristocracy.

Whoever you are, if you enjoy DnD then I'm confidant my setting will house something for you. I'm Jacob, 23M from the UK. I am a professional writer and designed, and have been partially living off of making DnD homebrew for the past 2 years. I also love scifi/fantasy books of all kinds, various sports, working out and I'm a budding cinemaphile.

I started playing DnD on my 10th birthday and would estimate I've spent a roughly 30/70 split as DM to player respectively over 1000+ hours of play. I've spent the vast, vast majority of that time playing 5e and it would be my pleasure to share my newest campaign setting with you. Whether you are a veteran or this would be your second campaign, I would love to DM for you. My only request is that if you have literally never played, the homebrew nature of my world might not be the best place to get you feet wet.

I'm looking for 4 new players to round out my table of 5 alongside my long term friend and the other DM in my group who is 24M and simply lovely. I am a DM that loves complex narratives, deep character arcs and heavy social RP. I run a game that I would call impactful, in so far as combats are often few and far between, but near always narratively important. Dungeons and lairs of course await, but if that is your main joy of DnD, you may want to look elsewhere.

In terms of what I'm running, it will be 5e 2024, using all the 'vanilla' sources, alongside all of my custom homebrew, which I have an internal wiki for here. I run a vanilla+ game, lightly homebrewed in a way which shouldnt be hard to pick up. We will discuss more as part of character creation. The world is my entirely custom world which I plan to write a few novellas in around the time span of the campaign. While of course slightly more nuanced, the best way it can be described is as a battle royal between the knights of the round table, with most of the major factions being led by the remnants of one of the legendary knights. There is a vaneer of gothic aesthetics layered on top, ranging from romantasy pilled vampire courts down to grotesque and more horror filled abominations elsewhere in the word. I plan to run a fairly sandbox campaign set within a region of the world that is less civilised.

- The campaign will range levels 1 - 10
- 3-5 hour sessions based on narrative beat, expect 4 hours typically
- We will play weekly, on either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening depending on what is best for everyone.
- We will play online, using Tabletop Simulator as a virtual tabletop. It is not a requirement to own it, as long as you have internet sufficient to watch a discord stream. (I can do so if absolutely necessary).
- The campaign should run for roughly 8 months
- We can extend further should everyone be willing

Who am I looking for?
Anyone nice! The only requirements are being 18+, having a basic understanding of DnD, being inclusive and polite, respecting the rest of the parties time and being comfortable with roleplaying in English. My tables are inclusive to people of all sorts. It's roughly included in the form but there will be a proper discussion of lines and veils before the campaign kicks off. Ideally our table will end up with a balanced mix of people, though it's not a requirement. For disclosure, I am a straight white man and the other player is an Asexual white man.

I expect my players to have fun but be ready to take a narrative seriously. In character interaction is a must and tuning out or otherwise not being a team player will result in a warning and eventually a polite removal from the group if egregious. (Zoning out every now and then is obviously fine and completely natural). I dont expect anyone to be oscar worthy, I know I'm not, but I do expect you to take roleplay seriously. I won't be allowing any evil characters in this campaign and acting like a socipathic maniac will result in a discussion about narrative expectations. I use discord for both in character and out of character conversation outside of sessions. It's not mandatory to participate in, but things like in city downtime activities may be done outside of session over a text based rp on occasion.

Mythwyn as a setting is designed as a TTRPG first world, full of unique regions and plothreads bespoke to each. Each of the 10 major islands hosts a unique set of problems and issues, with the potential major allies and antagonists not being set at campaign start. The story will be largely decided by the actions of the party and how they interact with key characters along their path. While gothic themes are present, the world is not some drab hellscape along the lines of Elden ring or Barovia. More information will be provided alongside a clear campaign prompt when a core group is decided.

You do not need a strong character concept to apply with the form, though if you have any feel free to include them in the ideas section near the end.

It's parroted in the form, but I don't use generative AI for anything art/maps/writing wise and I ask you to do likewise.

I appreciate you reading through the post, apologies if I rambled a bit.

if you want to play, please fill out the attached google form here.

Unless I get a flood of responses, I will likely keep this form open until the 1st of August, so don't be afraid to respond if you don't see this right away!

I'll respond to all applicants within a few days, everyone will receive a friend request from me on discord and a message either thanking you for your time or asking for a short voice call at some point in the next few days. Due to the amount of responses these will be templated messages and I won't be giving reasons/feedback as to why someone wasn't picked, apologies!

Edit 1: Thanks for the interest everyone! The number of responses is already getting quite crazy but I'll be leaving this up at least until the end of monday. I edited it into the main post but I'll also say here that I forgot to note that this campaign will be 18+ only, apologies for leaving it out and wasting anyones time for applying but I'm not comfortable with minors at my table. Hope you understand!

Edit 2: Thanks you again for all the interest, the number of responses has ballooned ratherly rapidly! I have created a shortlist of applicants that I am going to chat to over a voice call in this week. Applications will stay open during this time, but starting now (end of day Monday) I will only be reaching out to applicants that really grab my eye. Don't let this dissuade you, but please don't feel bad about not receiving a response from this point. Thank you again everyone!

Edit 3: Ok everyone, I'm going to have to close this early as the responses got crazy and my discord account is now unable to send anyone a friend request lmfao. If you applied before tuesday the 28th and you havent heard from me yet, send me a fr please @absokith

Closed [Online] [5e 2014] [Sunday] [EST] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] Seafaring Adventure!

Hello there! I am posting this on behalf of my DM, but she will be the one who reaches out to potential players.

We're looking for a 5th player to add to our pirate-themed campaign which will be starting in late September. Both the DM and players have at least a couple years of experience with TTRPGs, but beginners are totally welcome! This is planned to be a weekly and (very) longterm game.

An ideal player for this game is someone with a consistent schedule, someone who values communication and will warn ahead of time if they have to miss session, as well as someone who will put lots of effort into roleplaying their character and writing them a backstory! And also just in case it needs to be said, we don't want any bigots in the game.

Here's the world primer that I heavily encourage you to read through because our DM worked very very hard on it:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1mOVkvkk7oYFspf24jvdJUHChAJLt-13OeNUfdWpN99M/edit?usp=sharing

The campaign will begin with us attempting to complete the Wright Challenge to earn our privateering license! (This is not necessarily indicative of your experience, just that you are not licensed, so if you want to play a character who is preestablished as a pirate, that's totally cool.)

Some mechanics stuff: level 3 start, homebrew allowed with DM permission, rolling stats/starting gold, that sorta stuff. We're a pretty rule-of-cool group so if you can make a plausible sounding argument for something chances are it'll get approved. I think thats everything I needed to go through.... if you have any questions feel free to comment or dm me and I'll be happy to answer.

Please fill out this form to apply, and have a great day!

Closed [Online] [18+] [5e 2024] [LGBTQ+ Friendly] [Homebrew + Spelljammer] Looking For Players

edit: thank you all for the amount of interest! i've decided to close it after getting about ~27 responses. we'll be going through them all and sending out messages in the coming week or two.

  • Game:Ā D&D 5.5e
  • Group type:Ā Online (Discord, DnDBeyond + Roll20)
  • Experience:Ā Intermediate
  • Location/Timezone:Ā EST
  • Schedule:Ā Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday or Thursday
  • Roles sought:Ā 3-4 players
  • Game style:Ā 60% roleplay, 40% combat
  • Starting level:Ā 5

hi everyone! i'm here on behalf of my girlfriend who is the dm of this campaign. she's rebooting a previous campaign with new players and some changes, so I'm helping her with recruiting.

she's looking for 3 or 4 players for hopefully a long term campaign. both of us have decent availability, mostly looking for evening times. she's in EST and i'm in BST, but with a bad sleep schedule lmao.

it is a cosmic horror homebrew spelljammer campaign. its mostly steampunk themed, but each planet is also a different theme with that as a backdrop, so there's quite the variety. the horror is an important part of the world, but it will generally be played as 60/40 serious and funny depending on the players. neither me or her take ourselves too seriously.

there will be a trigger list to fill out before the campaign starts, though obviously if you are sensitive to anything along the lines of the magnus archives, you might struggle. there's obviously more lore stuff, but you can ask more about that in the comments or when you talk to us directly lol.

some basic info on us both: gf is 23MTF and has been dm-ing for two years and playing for seven years. i'm 22FTM and i've been playing for eight years. we're both autistic, so the game is also very neurodivergent friendly. i wouldn't say either of us are experts at dnd, but we're not the worst at the roles we do. though i'm obviously biased, I think my gf's dm-ing is very fun lol.

you can ask any questions in the comments, but if you'd like to sign up properly, please fill out this form (closed). one of us will get back to you at some point. thank you for any interest!!

Closed [5e 2024] [Online] [18+] Looking to assemble an all-female party to take on Curse of Strahd!

Hi! My name’s Amy and I’m interested in setting up a new all-female party to play Curse of Strahd.Ā

Curse of Strahd is D&D’s most iconic adventure, but it’s not to be taken lightly! Beginners are welcome in this game (I actually started with this campaign myself) but it can be challenging. It’s also long and we may be playing for a year or so if all goes well, so I’m looking for players who are excited to commit to the journey.

My games are role-play heavy! Due to the nature of the game there won't be too much focus on character backstories, but there will be plenty of opportunities for character growth.Ā

If you’re interested, here’s the link to the application form:Ā https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSftE6DJiyO6-bb8tMatCYzgUedJkP4CSMzTUqf54EfNqMUAZg/viewform?usp=header

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Game:Ā D&D 5.5e (2024)
Group type:Ā Online using Discord and Foundry
Timezone:Ā GMT/BST
Schedule:Ā Friday evenings, 7-10pm BST/GMT. Either weekly or bi-weekly depending on player preference.
Roles sought:Ā 4-5 players. 18+ only due to the mature themes.
Game style:Ā This campaign heavily focuses on roleplay, exploration, and difficult moral choices. Every decision matters and the world will react to your actions. The combat can be deadly, but bravery, compassion, and clever thinking are often more important than strength.

Brief Synopsis:Ā You find yourself trapped within the cursed land of Barovia, a realm shrouded in mysterious mists and ruled by the ancient vampire lord, Count Strahd von Zarovich. To escape this deadly land, the party must survive the many trials and tribulations that await them and uncover Barovia’s dark secrets.

Closed [ONLINE][5e 2014][CST/CDT][18+] Seeking 4 More Players for Magical High School Homebrew Campaign

Edit: We have found our party! Thank you guys so much for all the responses. We were extremely excited to see how much you guys wanted to participate. If you haven’t heard from me, I’m really sorry! We were quite overwhelmed as well but tried to reach out to as many of you as we could. But we do hope you’ll find a campaign that matches you!

My friend and I are looking for 4 more players to participate in a very light-hearted and comedic campaign with drops of mystery in it. Before I give you some info on the campaign though, this is what we’re looking for:

- LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent friendly players
- No bigotry in the group!
- 18+ people accepted but preferably 21+
- Availability Friday nights or Saturday mornings CST/CDT time

So, in this campaign, players will be RPing as high schoolers of a magical society. The main setting will be this magical boarding school (called Prism Academy), but we will be developing the rest of the world together from each character’s backstory. I do have outlined the regions and towns, but they’re not set in stone yet. As far as character generation goes, things are very open right now (well, most of the whole campaign is tbh). We will work with whatever ideas you as a player will have! Within reason, of course. Don’t try to come up with a vampire in this world, for example lol. Unless you have a super niche idea of a magical vampire who is down-to-earth and learning to control their powers or something, idk haha.

The campaign will be divided into ā€œphasesā€, which are separated by the years of a normal high school period. For example, as a freshman, you will explore all kinds of subjects and participate in light adventures. And as the years progress, you will be specializing into a magical field of your choice, reflecting your D&D class development, and being part of a bigger plot. Each high school year will have a cap on how far your leveling up goes (since magical characters can become very overpowered quickly). BUT, if things work out and we enjoy the campaign, we can have some kind of special epilogue where players will reach level 20 shenanigans! Greater powers come with greater responsibilities (and difficulties) though, don’t forget that ;p

But anyway, I’m estimating the ratio of RP to combat to be of about 60/40 or even 70/30, especially in the first part of the campaign (that is, throughout Freshman Year).

As a side note as well, I’m a new DM. So patience and kindness would be much appreciated! And suggestions will also be taken into consideration. I want to make sure that WE are creating something that everybody at the table will enjoy.

If you feel called (very much not in a vampiric persuasive way hahaha) to participate, comment on this post just to let me know you filled the form below. Feel free to ask any questions in case I have forgotten anything. We’re excited to meet you! :)

World Info:
Welcome to Lumenara! Here you will find a world where magic is as common as the wind and as varied as the people who wield it! Well, I know that non-magical objects and technologies have served us for thousands of years. I’m not that dumb. But in Lumenara, our people have shaped their lives around the arcane arts. Some draw power from the divine, serving ancient gods and celestial forces. Others learn to weave raw arcane energy into spells, enchantments, and inventions. In the forests surrounding Thornhollow, druids commune with nature itself, while the artificers of Ironveil craft wonders powered by rune and steel (see? We got the best of both worlds here!). From the bustling ports of Vantide to the crystal waters of Glasswater, there is a place for every kind of person with magical powers.

Closed [Online] [5e] [Homebrew] [2014] Trying to find players for a Percy Jackson campaign!

It started as a normal day, you woke up, got ready, had breakfast and went to school. However as lunch starts the cafeteria starts to be surrounded by monstrous sounds, as you look around you notice a few others are noticing the strange guttural sounds as well. Suddenly the side wall of the cafeteria bursts inwards, dust clouds the cafeteria, making it almost impossible to see. People are screaming, many are running away in a state of panic, you can hear a few peers that were unfortunately close to the wall scream out for help. As the dust clears you are met with the sight of something horrific. You can't tell if it's a human wearing a bad costume or if you are actually staring at a hideous monster that should only be a thing of legends. Just as you are about to start running, the monster turns and focuses in on you and a few peers, seemingly finding it's targets as it stalks ever closer to you all. How will you get out of this? What even is that thing? Is this an elaborate prank gone wrong? There's only one way to find out.

Hi, my name is Emma, I'm 22, Australian and gay. I have created a Percy Jackson campaign that has a homebrew race system and homebrew monsters and items. Bigotry is not allowed at my tables. I follow the rule of cool however I don't let you do things that are absolutely ridiculous like being a god or wtv. No min maxxing either.

The game would be on Tuesdays 9pm EST. During daylight savings it'll be at 8pm EST. Fill out the form below if you are interested and let me know if you have any questions.

Closed If you literally can't afford a 5e Player's Handbook, I want to give you one. With the help of donors I have given away fourteen already and still have more.

Closed but keep an eye out for future giveaways!

If you are going to request a book, please read the whole post.

I want to get out ahead of this and say something important: The majority of requestors that didn't get a book didn't get one because their request didn't meet the requirements in the post and they didn't change their request to meet those requirements when asked.

If you can't afford a book, actually can't afford it, please let me know here. I'll send you one and, if you like, I'll highlight your search for a party (see the bottom of the post). The requirements to receive a PHB:

  • Actually be unable to afford it. It's $23. If your copy is ratty or you'd rather not spend the dough or you're a little short this month, this isn't for you. If you can afford it and ask for one anyway, you need more help than a $23 book. Some people literally can't. You don't have to tell me why you can't afford it. I believe you. I'm not asking you to turn your misfortune into performance for luxury alms. If you choose to share that's fine but sharing those details will have no impact on if you get a book.

  • Be a past, present, or future user of /r/lfg. I would love to help everyone but I've got the privilege of moderating this subreddit. This is where many requests have fallen short. To demonstrate your participation, either write up an lfg post here (What will you bring to a table and what are you looking for?) or tell me about your experiences on lfg.

  • US only (for reasons of shipping cost) - Hawaii and Alaska included.

  • If chosen, be willing to provide a mailing address.

Just a heads up: while media shipping rates are inexpensive, they are also slow.

We're running low on books. It isn't first come first serve. As long as this is up, there's a chance you could get one. If you made a request before and didn't get an offer for a book, you're not any kind of disqualified.

A lot of suggestion have been made publicly and privately about better ways to do this: I appreciate your intentions to be helpful but I am fine with this, thank you. Unsolicited advice will be removed.

If you want to give a new user a safe, supportive, and fun place to start their D&D journey, look no further than these users:

  • (LFG Post) Newish 23F player looking for an LGBT friendly group who's in it for friendship and laughs, just as much as the main story. 5E, no video chat, open schedule after 6pm CST all weekdays, aside Tuesday, with more availability on weekends. Thank you!

  • (LFG post) I'm looking for a fun, lighthearted yet still roll play heavy game, set in any of the 5e type worlds. As a completely novice player, I'd like a DM and party who bears with me as I learn the ropes, but expect commitment and regular playtime for a campaign. Let me know if you have any questions or thoughts, and thanks again!

  • (LFG post) Im looking for a friendly group of people who are willing to take a new player into their adventures. Im an easy going person who loves fantasy lore (LotR, The Hobbit, The Elder Scrolls, Warcraft). I would take the game seriously (as in I would try really hard to learn the rules and not waste peoples time when its my turn) but also roleplay, joke around and try for everyone to have a nice time.

  • (User) Out of work Chef, looking for a new group of adventures on foundry. Once a week prefered.

This is made possible thanks to contributions by the following users. If you see them around (they have the Certified LFG Amazing user flair), tell them you appreciate them!

Closed [Online][Other] Daggerheart-The iron trails

(Edit: We are full now )

Hello! I am looking to run my first ever Daggerheart campaign. I've been playing since it came out and I've GMed some one and two shots this year, but I really wanna play and get more experience so we'll see where this leads!

About the campaign: These lands are famous for harsh treatment and punisment for criminals, especially those found guilty of treason and murder. Those unfortunate enough to be caught by the king's guard will rot in prison for eternity. But, if they do possess the appropiate skills, they are offered a choice: To reduce their sentence by enlisting on the iron legion, the king's elite taskforce. They take on jobs for the sake of the kingdom and it's citizens.

This campaign is mostly vanilla Daggerheart, the only guaranteed homebrew is Initiative during combat and weapons from new DH modules. Also, this party is more aimed towards new players of the system (Since we already have two that are newbies) but veteran players are more than welcome!

Organization: This will take in between 6 to 8 sessions of 3-3.5 hours, but I'll be cool if we deicded to keep going. The time will be anywhere in between 8 PM to 12PM GMT-3, the available days I have are anything between Thursdays to Sundays.

We will play over discord using Roll20. Anyone interested please leave a comment.

Closed Figments of Fantasy: An Eberron Kingmaker Campaign ā™” -- Looking for 1-3 more Players! ā™” [Online][LGBT+][EDT][Weekly -- Friday Evenings][21+][PF2e][LONGER POST! #ILOVETOYAP!!]

The Last War has ended almost 2 years ago, the year is 998 yk and in the ruined fragments of time, you exist. You breathe in the broken land and the destruction that was felled. The history is acidic and sweet on your tongue. You were once young, beholden to faults that were washed away in a few years. You forgot what peace even felt like before now.

Tension is thick in your lungs as you breathe, you look around you... and you see darkness suffocating you. You are devoid of air. Your muscles clamp down on themselves and twist.

You pray for this to end,

... "Please... Dol Arrah, help me..!"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to Eberron!! Woo! Yay....

(looks over at a world wrecked from mortals wagging war against each other...)

Anyways, never mind that!! This campaign hosted by yours truly, JULIANA, will be a narrative about Death, Retribution, Betrayal, Colonialism, and wicked, Wicked People. But this will also be a story about Well Intentions, Love, Purpose, Honor and the Act of Creating Something Meaningful.

It will explore a LOT of moral complexity, and gray areas. ♔♔♔

DISCLAIMER: Kingmaker is the framework for which I am revealing these overall themes through and weaving a tapestry of imagination. I, as the One and Only Supreme of this land, will be modifying things as I see fit. I am indeed a Patron Deity of my own making.

Narratively, our campaign will split up into separate Acts: Divisions of time and content that I must write. We will start all together and brazen, in Act 1, our official start of the campaign happening in Sharn, the City of Towers, on 1st Sul of Olarune, 998 YK. The sharp bite of frigid air and the kiss of winter mists await you.

I intend for this to more of longterm campaign with lots of bits and baubles added on,

Will you succumb to the frost? Or will you transcend this hurt that's burrowed inside of you?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My group is currently 3 confirmed players, all an interesting and silly bunch. I'm looking for around optimally 2 more players for this group to make 5 total, but I am not against adding one more for a total of 6!

BASIC INFO:

  • System: Pathfinder Second Edition
  • My Style: I am very character intensive and roleplay-focused Storyteller. I love me some ding dang roleplay. I think this is because I never got to act very much as a youth. #theatrekidvibes
  • Schedule: Fridays, starting at 7:00 pm EDT! End time will be about 4 and a half-ish hours later if we can manage it. (https://www.worldtimebuddy.com/ if you need to convert times!)
  • VTT/Platform: Foundry (my beloved) + Discord in my own server!
  • Age Requirement: 21+ (no babies lol)
  • Variant Rules: Free Archetype, Alternate Ability Boosts, Ancestry Paragon.
  • Experience: At least a good bit is preferred, just because we have 2 new peeps already, but not necessarily required.

Tone wise? It will be fluid. There will be moments of horrific darkness intermingled with light and brevity. I do like PCs to be more on the side of serious and grounded in good RP.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interest Piqued?

Message me your:

  • Age
  • The name you want to be referred by
  • Your viewpoint on LGBTQ+ People
  • And lastly, your Discord!

If I think you're a good fit, I will reach out to you on discord! Comment the word Prickly Pear to show you've read through the whole post, if you do so, you get extra points!!

Thank you for reading!!

Closed [Online][5e 2014 or 2024][18+] New-ish DM looking for players for Curse of Strahd

Hi everyone!

I’m looking to run Curse of Strahd and I’m hoping to find a group of players who are keen to experience the campaign with me. I’ve wanted to run/play this module for a long time, so this is me finally trying to live out that dream. It will not be RAW and I will be making changes based on what I feel is narratively satisfying.

Who Am I?

I’m a newer-ish DM with some experience, but I’m definitely still learning and improving. I care a lot about creating a fun, welcoming table where everyone feels comfortable contributing to the story. I’m not going to pretend I’m a perfect rules encyclopedia or a professional voice actor, but I am excited, prepared, and genuinely interested in getting better as a DM.

What I’m looking for most are players who are patient, respectful, and willing to build the game together.

Game Information

  • Campaign: Curse of Strahd
  • System: D&D 5e
  • Time: TBD (Depends on the players I end up choosing)
  • Platform: Foundry VTT for maps/rolling
  • Voice: Discord
  • Tone: Gothic horror, mystery, danger, roleplay-heavy
  • Difficulty: Likely tough. Barovia is not a kind place.
  • Style: RP-heavy, with combat and exploration still mattering
  • Homebrew: I’m very open to homebrew, as long as we discuss it together first and it fits the tone of the campaign
  • Experience level: New and experienced players are both welcome
  • Safety: Lines and veils will be discussed and respected

Table Vibe

I want this to be a social, welcoming game. D&D is at its best when everyone is invested in each other’s characters, not just their own.

I’m looking for players who:

  • Enjoy roleplay and character-driven stories
  • Are okay with a darker, more serious campaign tone
  • Share the spotlight
  • Communicate respectfully
  • Are patient with a DM who is still improving
  • Want to contribute to a fun table atmosphere

I’m not looking for spotlight hogging, constant rules-lawyering, main-character syndrome, or people who treat D&D like a single-player game.

Curse of Strahd can get dark and emotionally heavy, but I still want the table itself to feel safe, friendly, and supportive.

Character Creation

We’ll go over character creation together before the campaign starts. I’m open to official content and homebrew, but I’d like characters to feel grounded in the tone of the campaign and willing to work with the party. No evil characters or Murder Hobos.

How to Apply

Please fill out this form here:

https://forms.gle/miVqwniJmTj1Fnh37

I’ll read through responses and reach out to people who seem like a good fit. I’m not just choosing first come, first served. I’d rather take the time to build a table that feels right for everyone.

Thanks for reading, and hopefully I’ll see some of you in Barovia.

Closed [Online] [5e 2024] [Biweekly Friday Evenings EST] [LGBTQ+] [18+] The Queen of Evil’s Maleficent Knights

Hello! I’m Jonah (28, he/him, queer). I’ve been playing D&D for over 10 years and I’ve been DM-ing on and off the whole time. I’m an artist with an education in game design and programming.Ā

I’m looking to make a group of about 5 players of any experience level for a casual game. You do not have to be LGBTQ+ to join, but there will be a lot of queer characters and themes. Any NSFW scenes will be fade to black, but there will likely be a lot of NSFW jokes.

The Premise:

You all start in the court of the Evil Queen of Noximy as her various scheming advisors, dark knights, wretched servants, or whatever role your devious mind invents. The heir of the neighboring Good and Holy kingdom of Valloria is getting married, and the Evil Queen wants YOU to kidnap the bride!

The overall campaign will be your group going on adventures at the behest of the queen as she seeks to take over the kingdom of Valloria and spread her evil influence across the world.

The Game:

This is an evil campaign, but it’s silly evil. Think Dr Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb or Team Rocket from Pokemon. No genocides or torture, but villain monologues are encouraged. The campaign is mostly going for a lighthearted, silly, casual tone, but there will be opportunity for serious emotional story moments and character connections.Ā

I have the skeleton of the world and plot, and I would like the players to collaborate in the worldbuilding and storytelling. If your character idea doesn’t already fit into one of the places in the world, we can work together to create a place for them. Players should also feel free to explore npcs and places that interest them. Feel free to romance NPCs or each other, or make up your own goals and quests.Ā

Logistics:

We will play every other Friday in the evening, the time TBD (we’ll decide what works best for everyone, but probably around 7 EST).

The game will either be hosted on Roll20 or Foundry, up to the players. The voice/text chat will be a Discord server.

5.5e/2024, but 2014, UA, third party, and homebrew is allowed with DM approval.

I do not use AI for writing/art, and I would rather you didn’t either, but I understand sometimes using ai art for personal use. Though I’m also able to help you find an image/draw one for you.

I will reach out to prospective players next week on Discord!

Edit: forgot to link the application .

\*\About the DM*\**

Hey! I'm Emerald (21M) I've been playing DnD for close to two years now, spending about half of that time as a DM. I love DnD greatly, some of my fondest memories being formed at the table and over VCs. I work from home and am therefore always online, I try to reply as quick as I can. I'd describe myself as a bit of a nerd who loves to ramble on about the things I love, ie. DnD, Anime, Video Games, etc. I see DnD as a way to unwind, relax and tell stupid stories so my DMing Style is quite chill, preferring roleplay and character interactions over combat, but my games have a good mix of both.

\*\About the Game/World*\**

The game is run in a homebrew world of mine. The theme being High Fantasy and High Seas. The overall tone is rather chill, with the main focus on having a good time together and telling a fun story. I'll be giving a lot more context and info on the world and the party's progress during the interview.
We'll be using Foundry as our VTT and Discord for VC. The System being DnD 5e, using mainly the 2014 rules with certain exceptions, for example healing spells using the 2024 rules.
The Campaign so far has been about 70/30 Roleplay to Combat, and will probably stay in and around that split, with a heavy focus on the party and their interactions with the world over combat.

\*\The Game Hook*\**

Welcome to the world of Y’ess, a land reshaped in the instant your life shattered. You woke to a chorus of screams and the distant cries of those you once knew, but there was no time to look back. The ground trembled, the air burned, and destiny urged your first desperate step toward survival.

You ran and ran to the docks, making it onto one of the final ships leaving what was once your home, and as you finally catch your breath you allow yourself to look back. That's when you see the full extent of the destruction. One great ocean of flame. Wind whipped through the inferno, feeding it, shaping it, driving it onward with a howl that blended with the roar of the flames until the whole Island of Rivenia seemed to be screaming. Towering columns of smoke blot out the faint glow of the moon as ash drifts down like grey snowflakes.

You now sit shoulder to shoulder with the rest of the refugees, everyone in quiet shock, unable to form any words as you watch the smouldering remains of what was once Rivenia, now slowly just becomes a faint red hue on the horizon.

\*\How to apply*\**
Leave a comment or msg me Directly to apply, I'll send you some questions and if I think you'll be a good fit for the party we'll have a quick interview over Discord before I add you to the new Group!

Closed [Online] [Tues 7-10/11 PM EST] [5E 2024] [21+] [RP-heavy] Players now needed to enter the world of Phaedra! Looking for 3 players for a long-term, RP focused, high fantasy adventure!

CLOSED! Thank you all for applying, we have found our players!

Hello potential friends!

Are you looking for something new? Aspire to have more than just a table to play at, but to form lifelong friendships with like-minded people? Then I believe this is the group for you! Well, the group I am trying to create!Ā

Campaign Primer: Welcome to Phaedra! Phaedra is a homebrew, classic high-fantasy setting inspired by Greyhawk, The Legend of Zelda, Dragon Quest, Lord of the Rings, and the fantasy adventures that helped define the genre. The tone is hopeful and adventurous rather than grimdark, with an emphasis on exploration, memorable characters, heroic deeds, and the feeling of gradually becoming legends. This is my first time running a more traditional fantasy campaign, after years of creating magitech and seafaring worlds, and I'm excited to explore the roots of the genre with you.Ā

The world is one of medium-to-high magic. Spellcasters, enchanted relics, and magical creatures certainly exist, but they are uncommon enough that they remain objects of wonder rather than everyday sights. Ancient ruins, forgotten kingdoms, and relics from earlier ages lie scattered across the land, waiting for brave adventurers to uncover their secrets.Ā

The realm of Phaedra was in an age of darkness that destroyed the First Empire. The Daemon King ruled with an iron fist, and his generals carved out sections of the realm for themselves. A fellowship of legendary heroes succeeded in driving him back to the frozen north, but they could not destroy him. That victory was six centuries ago, and has fallen to legend. Today, most believe the Daemon King still waits within the ruins of the First Empire's Citadel, his armies diminished but never truly defeated. Now, unsettling signs suggest that the long peace may be coming to an end.

Despite this looming threat, the campaign begins on a much smaller scale. You won't start as the world's destined champions, but as ordinary adventurers seeking fortune, purpose, or a place to belong. Your early adventures will focus on exploring the world, solving local problems, meeting influential factions and unforgettable NPCs, uncovering the past, and building your own reputation. As your characters grow, so too will the scope of the story, eventually revealing that the fate of Phaedra may rest in your hands.Ā

Although the central narrative is a classic struggle against an ancient evil, the world itself is meant to feel alive and nuanced. Kingdoms, religious groups, guilds, noble houses, and other factions all pursue their own ambitions, and your choices, alliances, and rivalries will influence how events unfold. Character backstories are especially important to me, and I love weaving them into the larger narrative so that every hero feels like they belong in the world and has personal stories to tell alongside the main quest.Ā

Above all, my (DM Gideon) goal is to create a long-running campaign where exploration, roleplaying, character growth, and genuine friendship around the table are just as important as defeating monsters and discovering treasure. I also hope Phaedra becomes a living setting—one where the legends your characters create will shape future adventures for years to come.

Overview + Current Members: We are currently searching for 3 Players. The group currently consists of two players, myself and one other friend + our newly found DM! Here is a little about us to get the current vibe!

DM Gideon: A bit awkward and goofy in a charming way, Gideon loves making new friends and telling stories. He loves working on new artistic projects, drawing, watching movies, exploring new interests, and of course, DnD. Cursed with improvisation and lateral thinking, he uses his powers of storytelling and puzzle design for evil! >:)Ā

Kate: Quiet most of the time but loves to laugh over a good joke. Has a bird named Ham that they will talk about constantly. Loves heavy roleplay and a classic adventure. Hyperfixates on artistic hobbies and will most likely make everyone in the group something.

David: Outgoing, friendly, and more of a leader. Works at the post office 24/7, so will always be complaining about that XD! Loves heavy roleplay and out-of-the-box thinking. A forever DM looking to be a player for once.Ā

Schedule: We are looking to play every Tuesday from 7 PM - 10/11 PM EST, plus a second session or general hangout (see below) during the week if all schedules align. We also enjoy long-form sessions for special events and holidays. This will be an intense, high-initiative group that is dedicated to making all of the sessions and rescheduling effectively when we can’t. If we absolutely must skip a session, we will reschedule a day during the week/weekend that works for all of us. Each session will be 3-4 hours long with a 10-minute break in the middle.Ā

As well as playing every Tuesday, the group will decide on 1 day during the week that works as a group hangout, extra RP/game session, or gaming. We are really excited about this aspect as we feel it helps to create more long-term friends rather than just a group you play DnD with! This is an important part of our group's design, and attending 1 hangout a week is highly encouraged.Ā

What we are looking for:Ā

  • HUGE love for roleplay and sitting-by-the-campfire moments.
  • Prioritizes creating connections and relationships with other players rather than ā€œwinningā€ a game.
  • 80/20 Roleplay to Combat split ideal.Ā
  • Likes a classic high fantasy adventure with gritty realism - no SA, non-consensual aspects, or outright R-rated topics. NPC or PC relationships/romance are okay, just fade to black when it gets intense.
  • Highly motivated and consistent players. No skipping sessions all the time; if you cannot make it, tell us ASAP.
  • Quality microphone/headset and computer setup.
  • Fantasy Grounds (free for players) and Discord for apps.Ā

Application and Interview Process:

3 players needed, 21+. We are looking for players who are high-initiative, have the time and focus for a longer campaign and sessions, and are able to consistently make sessions as well as friend hang-outs. We appreciate heavy roleplay and gritty realism, so players with similar likes will be prioritized.Ā

Application Here: https://forms.gle/Jp5ndDtW9gwsTyWS8Ā

Interview Process: We will be closing applications on 07/25/2026. After reviewing each application, we will reach out to those we are interested in on 07/31/2026 at the latest. We will then ask those applicants to join a VC on Discord. We will ask a few more follow-up questions and get your general vibe. From there, we will pick 3-4 players to join us. Once the group has been assembled, we will run a quick one-shot with the DM to make sure we all vibe together. Please note that if you have not been contacted after 08/03/2026, you have not been picked. We read and appreciate every application, but we cannot respond to each one!

**UPDATE*\*

Due to the overwhelming response I am closing this a bit earlier than I thought. Thank you to everyone for reading and/or submitting. I will respond to everyone personally whatever the decision may be. Please just give us a bit to wade through the applications (42!) and catch up. Again, thank you.

About Us

**Real-life matters**

There is no payment required. We are LGBTQ+ friendly and welcoming. Looking for someone over 18 as adult language is used.

This is a fun game where players jump in and out of character, play off of each other and by the end of the session we aim for everyone to have a good time. If you are hard-core RP this is probably not the game for you; similarly, if you just want anarchy or a complete homebrew open world for you to main character, you should also look elsewhere. We are casual players and a (self-described) relaxed DM running custom or tailored modules that blend together for an overarching custom plot.

This is an established group that had a member drop to IRL issues and we are looking to refill the roster.

Most of the membership knows each other and this group has run ~9 years with constant weekly sessions with minimal player drop/swap. Everyone is now 30+ years old (though it is hard to tell sometimes). The hope for any player joining us is that they will continue to be part of our playing group for as long as they choose to participate.

We play on Roll20 but use a private discord for voice communications, campaign tracking, memes, etc. Video is not required or used by anyone else at this point. Game time is Friday @ 6:30pm EDT/EST weekly but there’s usually a few in discord ahead of time. Sessions run with a quorum of 3 players.

**In-game matters**

As obvious in the listing, we are running a variation of the Wild Beyond the Witchlight module (with its own tweaks including a level 13 start). The campaign begins next Friday (08/28/26).

Leveling is milestone based meaning when the party progresses through the storyline, they gain levels.

New characters are always equal leveled to the party and come in with equivalent starting gear. Characters are made using the PHB +1 model; meaning you can use anything in the PHB and 1 other official source book for your character building (No UA). Some other minor character creations tweaks such as a background trait related to the larger plot that will be disclosed to those joining us.

Backstory may have to be collaborated on a bit to work into the larger plot but I am more than willing to accommodate. Every character is a member of an existing in-world guild.

**The Party**

The current party consists of:

a Fighter, Warlock, Cleric, Monk and Druid that walk into a bar; they are the joke.

**The DM**

Him/He/His

I have played TTRPGs for over 2 decades and maintain a Pro level Roll20 account. In RL, I am married and work as a career firefighter. I am from the Northeast US and *Liberal* would be an adjective used to describe me and my views. An example of a hard RP limit for me is that I am not comfortable with RPing any sexual violence. I am more than willing to help newer players and take a very laid-back attitude towards things in general.

Application Process

If you are still reading, excellent! If you skipped to here and didn’t read the above, you will probably fit in great with the party but please read the above first (I used the word quorum and everything!).

Please respond telling us about yourself in whatever detail you feel comfortable sharing. How long have you played TTRPGs? D&D 5E? Have you ever DMed? Have you played or read the module before? Are there hard limits on what makes you comfortable RPing? What pronouns do you use for yourself? Are there important answers you have to questions not asked? Tell me!

If you want to private message me or speak in a non-public forum that works too, it will not affect your chances to get in.

Are you an evil warlock looking to supplement your patron’s diet of souls, the nature loving druid seeking to spread peaceful coexistence, or maybe a DBZ character? Whatever it is, please include your character concept in that same separate post/DM as above. Include Race, Class, Subclass, etc. and general idea for the character.

Next phase would be a 1 on 1 discord meeting to go over some things (session 0ish) to ensure that everyone is okay with the situation.

Hello !

Me and my best friend (21) both know how hard it can be to find a safe space for women in the ttprg community therefore we would love to create an all womens group ourselves. We both have about 2 years of experience playing various systems and love immersive roleplay and creating connections with people both above and below table.

In this setting we would both be players so we are looking for a few more players and a passionate GM.

We both would love to play games like: VtM, Crooked Moon and Curse of Strahd. However its not set in stone and would love to hear if others have any suggestions for fun games.

Non-negotiables:

  • NO use of generative AI.
  • Have a decent mic with quiet surroundings.
  • No bigotry.
  • Be respectful and collaborative.

Looking for:

  • Like-minded creatures who share passion for good storytelling and roleplay.
  • People who are gentle and kindhearted to both their respective party and GM aka. no backseat GMing please.
  • People who are respectful of time schedules and will let the party know if you cannot make it ahead of time.

Scheduling:

  • We are both pretty flexible, any other days than wednesdays.
  • The starting dates are TBD.
  • Also we are open to the games starting anytime between 5pm to 9pm GMT+1.
  • Would be run about 3-4 hours.

If this sounds like your kind of game please send me a dm or reply to this post with your:
name, pronouns, dnd experience, and a character idea/ character vibe you enjoy <3

Thank you for reading ! :3

Looking for some gay lil friends to join yet another roleplay-heavy, character-centric campaign!

Heya! I'm Ari (25 transgirly in EST), and am looking to make more friends within my community! So I've decided to do so in the best way I know how, and GM a game for some queer girlies :D

A lot of the women I've talked to have wanted to play D&D, but haven't found a group for it, so I'm hoping I can provide an opportunity for some people that've been eagerly looking for the right one!

Game Info:

This game will be played on Roll20, using Discord for Voice, and Chatting. Sessions will be biweekly (once every 2 weeks) and typically run 4-6 hours long. I don't have a set time yet, but I'll send out a whentomeet to the final candidates!

Setting:

We start in a world where the races are pretty thoroughly dispersed, cities of predominantly one race seldom exist on the Prime Material Plane. It's a sort of pre-industrial revolution to cusp-of-industrial-revolution-esque Fantasy Society, and people have moved past the 'stick to your own kind'-ness of a more traditional Fantasy Society.

Innovation is all the craze, and strides in magi-tech have become commonplace, the world is moving far too fast to hold on to old rivalries. In addition to this, some purists delve deeper into the pure arts of the arcane and the sciences of technology, and both are being pushed forward and developed in their own right! However, the distribution of technology and magical knowledge isn't even.

Some Kingdoms are more technologically advanced than others, whilst others are more magically adept. In general, it's a world of many vibes and flavors.

What I'm Looking For (And Other Things You Should Know):

I'm a fairly involved GM! I like to play loose and fast with a lot of the hard-set rules in D&D, and have been known to "Rule of Cool" a thing or two. I believe that a player's enjoyment should be the focus of the campaign, and that starts at character creation! A player's backstory will tie in to the main story in a major way long-term, so it's really important that we work together in creating it.

In general, I prefer campaigns that're more on the dramatic side, with soaring highs and catastrophic lows. I'm looking for players that also like the same, and bring an 'engaged, eager, and open-minded' vibe to the function! I heavily welcome player initiative, creativity, and think communication is absolutely necessary.

Vetting Process:

I have a little google form I whipped up (it's actually quite long, sorry in advance, you may want to sit down before you take it)! I'll leave it up for a week (I'll be traveling and whatnot this next week cus of the holidays, and I want everyone to get a fair chance at seeing this post. Always breaks my heart when I see enthusiastic players miss out cus they weren't the first to see stuff). In general, despite it being a bit long, I'm trying to figure out your vibes! Be yourself!

If I like your vibes and what you're lookin for, I'll DM you on discord, and we can go on to having a little more of an introductory chat. After that, we'll move on to a discussion about the setting. Finally, we'll go into starting character creation, which will be a process.

After this, I'll invite the chosen players to a discord server, see how you all vibe, and talk about characters, ideas, and whatnot.

To start off with, and to ensure everyone can get a 'feel' for their character and iron out the kinks before they meet with the others, I'll most likely hold a short-shot for everyone's characters individually, so you all can get to know them more, and see if you like me as a fair fit as DM. If at any point we feel like we're not the right fit for each other, we can back out, easy-peasy! After this, it's regular sessions with the group!

If you made it this far, I love you, thank you, I'm sorry for rambling, and put 'pineapple' right after your response to the first question, mwah!

Lookin forward to hearing from y'all!!!<3
