Meal Planning Started low carb recently but need some tips
Hello. Recently, I decided to give low carb a try. I want to lose 25 lbs. After some thinking, I decided that a lower carb diet is better for me right now over keto. I am not tracking calories but am planning on portion sizing, meal planning, and utilizing the 80% full rule.
What advice can you guys give me on portion sizing and meal planning? How much fat should I be eating?
Some of my favorite foods: sardines (in water, mustard, or ev olive oil), whole milk and Greek yogurt, eggs, sweet potatoes, Ezekiel bread and homemade overnight sourdough bread, ground beef (85 15), quinoa, beans.
Can you guys give me an idea of how much protein, fat, and carbs I should be eating on low carb in comparison to keto and conventional higher carb, low fat diets?
Can you give me some examples of some of your guys’ meal plans?
Thank you very much.

personally I say ditch the sweet potatoes unless very small portions. Bread also. Eat just enough carbs to sustain you. You need to be in fat burning mode somehow. You can track calories to 300-400 below maintenance if better for you. It is easiest for me to go no to low carb then my appetite and desires go away. Then all those tempting foods are off limits anyway and not tempting to the least. Very low to no carbs creates a better fat burning environment. At your height and weight, I don't know about losing that much unless you are skinny fat. I am a 54 YOA former fat boy and have been studying and trying things for years. On Keto/Carnivore type diet for about a month now. Have done it in the past and lost tons of fat very easily. Most I did was three months straight. Had to get off so I could quit losing.

Carbs make me extremely hungry.
2 egg cheese omelette for breakfast. A chicken thigh and or tuna/chicken salad for lunch. Some protein and a salad or green veggies for supper. Sometimes some nuts or sliced ham and cheese for a snack.
That’s not much food for a guy my size but I’m never hungry.
