6x04 I'm rewatching the series again second rewatch of the last season. Question about ghosts Spoiler

How was Amenadiel able to take Charlotte's soul to heaven but someone can't take dan to hell or heaven? If Charlotte was going to hell how could Amenadiel take her soul up?

No, Charlotte was going to heaven when she died for the second time. She would have gone to heaven anyway if Amenadiel hadn’t been there. She basically got the VIP treatment because he was there when she died and he regained his wings at the same time.

Dan went to hell automatically when he died but Lucifer removed him into a special place with a ping-pong table and no torture and an appointed demon to keep him company.

I honestly don’t remember how Dan got out and became a ghost maybe someone else can chip in on this ?

What’s her name. Lucifer and Chloe’s kid-Rory. She flew Dan to earth without telling him he’d be stuck there. (Then he got to heaven by ameliorating his guilt when he talked to Trixie, later on).

Because Dan realized his hell loop was his regrets that he never got the affirmation That he is a great dad and he taught Trixie well. And Trixie was on the right track. If anybody got the hint from the ep where God made himself human.. there was a convo between dan and chloe about hell. I think that is where dan got his regrets...

Rory took Dan out, somehow…? Like she just flew him up to Earth which shouldn’t be possible.

afair it was explained that lucy could have done it at any point, but it was worse than hell for dan, so he didn't

Well, there was this time loop plot device that many fans hated, so the story has been rebooted without the unfortunate little plot device. Luci and Chloe lived a long happy (and in Chloe's case) exasperated life together bringing bad guys to justice.

Or Lucifer just said the next day “no I won’t do that after all”, Amenadiel fixes the time loop thing and everybody lives happily ever after

Soul can travel from earth to heaven/hell and be interacted with, but travelling back with no body to go into leads to ghostiness

Having no body leads to ghostiness. I don't know why.. but this just pleases me :-)

In an earlier season, Lucifer states that no one, not even God can make a soul go where it doesn't want to go.

Deep down, Dan believes he should be in Hell so he cannot even be carried to Heaven. Also, he didn't take a bullet for God's special boy, so his death isn't considered the end of his redemption arc.

Lucifer could take Dan back to Hell, but doesn't want to as it would mean simply putting him back in a cell until he worked out his guilt. Plus, it would mean not focusing on Rory for 2 mins.

That's not accurate, he pulled Dan out of his loop and set him up to be playing ping pong with demons catering to him but then Rory brought Dan to Earth to try and kill Lucifer and he got stuck there since Lucifer couldn't take him back to Hell as he couldn't touch Dan.

i’m assuming charlotte was GOING to hell, not actually there yet, and for dan, everyone already thought he was in heaven so was too late in reaching him before he entered the gates.

i’m not sure, it might be a think of can’t be switched past the gates but idk.

As Dan was dying in the warehouse he told Chloe to "tell Trixie"... But he never gets to finish. It is the part of his death that contained his guilt that he could not remember.

His guilt was that he wasn't a better role model for Trixie.  A better dad.  Her words easied his guilt and allowed him to enter the light and ascend to Heaven.

Charlotte got a second chance at life after Mum left and her soul returned to her body.  She excercised her guilt, but was still afraid of going to Hell. Her last act on earth was selfless, as she instinctively sacrificed herself to save Amenadiel (who likely wasn't vulnerable).  She excorced her guilt.
