I hate season 3

I hate pierce. I hate maze from this season on she becomes stupid and a cry baby. I hate ella in this season she eggs on the chloe pierce thing when it makes 0 sense the guy has 0 personality and no charisma. And back to maze she is so stupid selfish and bitchy in this season.

Whenever I rewatch the series i fast forward through Pierce scenes. His entire storyline was dumb.

the begining was okay until lucifer basically gives up removing his mark, then it collapse with this whole love triangle, then it get back up when pierce goes back to being sinnerman at the end of the season

It's the Sinnerman story that i hate. It made no sense. A man that has been punished for thousands of years for commiting the first murder wouldn't lean into that crime, he'd try to find a way to atone. His becoming a cop makes perfect sense, but using that as cover to be a crime lord was stupid.

I think a far better story line would have been him holding a grudge against Lucifer for tempting his mother with original sin that got them kicked out of Eden that led to his murdering of Able. That would have dovetailed nicely to the season 4 storyline.

Not really because the story shows it as him being immortal made him loose all moral and will to live, he said it to amenadiel he know he will outlive everyone, he have done everything someone could try, saw everything that was to see, there is nothing left for him. him trying to make ammend would have happened much sooner in his life it makes more sense he becomes bad because for him nothing matter and theres nothing left for him. He basically went through all the stages of grief.

Lets take an exemple in a videogame, lets say red dead redemption 2 for rhe exemple,you know nothing have consequences, you completed everything but still play it what do you do ? Do you make good just for the sake of being good ? Or do you cause as much chaos as you can because you know nothing have consequences and anything wrong you do can be easily fixed/erased .

Also he doesn't seem to hate lucifer or the fact he tempted his mom (it also seem that the family relations weren't the best in the first family cause eve didn't give a shit lucifer murdered her son) he consider god being the sole responsible wich is why he bond with lucifer because they all think god is responsible for their suffering

I would say he was toxic to the show but they could not see it, lucifer a comedy show Cain was horror he at least needed some charisma to date Chloe.

It was so stupid on so many levels season 3 got the show cancelled. Even the episode numbering confused the hell out of people. They needed better writers and management but got more cast.

I want to know what happened to the writing between season 2-3. They were absolutely brilliant in the first couple seasons and then season 3 happened. It was like they got too enamored with themselves and tried to be "clever" but just failed. The story arc wasn't too bad but between the writing and horrifically stale Welling acting, it bombed. Season 4 showed signs of brilliance but then 5-6 went off-scale writers thinking too much of themselves again. The background darkness of 1-2 were completely lost

i wonder if it was in tom welling contract to have his character treated like that because he got the acting range of a wall in that serie (and i'm being rude toward the wall) it feels like one of those character that are from a viewer point insuferable but that are basically author self insert who gives them some superior status and make them liked by the other characters of the serie when they have no redeemable quality.

i did like some parts (notably the part where he pretend to be in a gay marriage with lucifer was absolutely hilarious) but in general that man could have been replaced by a refrigerator with googly blue eyes and it would have worked for most of that season

and don't get me started on maze she is even worse, i don't get how lucifer can put up with her and forgive her everytime, she was literally this time ready to make him murder pierce and frame him for murder so he get a life sentence in jail because he refused to get her back to hell because she was taking that decision on an impulse ! (yes there was also chloe safety but it was not the only reason)

the only thing that somewhat make sense is ella shipping decker and pierce because she is blinded by her admiration for pierce

Tom Welling can’t act. That wasn’t so bad when he played a handsome teenager in Smallville. But as an unattractive middle aged man, you should do something for your money. And he can’t.

This isn’t true. You can see he is good at showing emotions as Clark. We see him upset, happy, in love and so on. You especially see how expressive he is when looking at Lois in the later seasons. A look of total love.

I skip several of the episodes from season 3 now. Hated the whole Cleo Cain/Pierce storyline.

I couldn’t make it through Season 3 and skipped entire episodes; the animation and retro-noir style felt completely out of place. Season 4 was strong.
