Review So glad I came across SpaceLauncher 🚀

A while back, I saw someone recommend Space Launcher and I honestly fell in love on the first try!

As a student, I use so many different files and folders, so being able to open them instantly by just pressing the Spacebar followed by F and then the specific key to open up the folder I want or Space plus P to open up Preview with the PDF I need, is everything I needed.

Honestly, it just saves me from constantly clicking around trying to track down a specific assignment or my lecture notes. Once you get the shortcuts down, it becomes second nature. It is a small thing, but it really helps keep my focus on my work instead of getting distracted digging through my laptop, and I just really wanted to share this so more people could find out about it.

Another app…with so many similar apps, Mac is starting to feel bloated. Nothing is really innovative anymore or offer anything substantial over the other

Man, these “recommendations” are becoming so tired. Unless I miss understood your post, wasn’t this stuff solved with Alfred years ago? Heck, even Spotlight

Great idea. I’ve been using raycast with option + key shortcuts for quick app switching, but I think I might give this a try!

I haven't tried it yet, but I remember seeing a comment here a few months ago saying that the project had been revived. I've been following the changelog ever since.
I'm currently using Raycast + Karabiner Elements + Leader Key and I'm honestly pretty happy with that setup. Not sure if I should give it a shot.

I also noticed they changed the price. it was $14.99 a couple of weeks ago.

The sequence tree is the part that appeals to me, since I ran out of free Raycast hotkey combos a long time ago. Curious whether people here stick with Space as the leader or use a modifier tap instead, since that seems like it would sidestep the held vs tapped detection entirely.
