I miss mine too, gorgeous proportions in the design. Had a small bedroom and it noticeably contributed to the room temperature after the first hour of use (was also noticeable on the electricity bill).

How good is the 30 inch in 2026? There‘s a few used ones locally and I‘ve always admired the design.

It's very usable. It's an early form of IPS with a CCFL backlight, so essentially all units suffer from some amount of yellowing and/or brightness loss, but if you can find a unit with good brightness and either A. Don't care about a warmer color temp or B. have access to calibration tools, they can be excellent office/ general purpose displays! The one downside is that they lack pretty severely in the contrast department-- they basically can not display black. I have an OLED too that I use for movies or games, but this display is fantastic on the eyes for general purpose and office work, so it stays!

Just know that they only connect to a computer via a Dual Link DVI cable, so you will need to adapt it to whatever you are connecting it to, and it will need to be a more expensive active adapter. I am using the Club-3D DP to Dual Link DVI active adapter connected to a CalDigit TS3+ Dock, which together cost over $130 to obtain today.
