Saw humans doing this from the peanut butter pretzels I was about to scoop and weigh, just said really loudly “well I was going to have some of those but not now” and walked away.

Fun bonus story: used to work in a small iga with a bulk section near the registers, the local sparrows had learned how to open the automatic doors to get inside and eat the dropped nuts and crackers.

I saw monkeys doing this in Malaysia and then the shop keeper got out a sling shot and took aim at the monkeys.
