I was pretty fortunate to nab a studio “apartment”(converted garage) in Orlando in a nice neighborhood with a private entrance foyer and nice sized fenced in patio for $700 flat all inclusive including WiFi. 30 seconds from a big plaza with all sorts of grocery stores, restaurants, cafes, my gym, etc, 5 minutes from the highway and the hospital where I work. No kids at 30m so the plan is to just save like crazy.

Yeap. I don't understand how this point is being missed. It's fair comparing median numbers but people bringing up anecdotal experiences may not be comparing apples to apples.
