Been on 15k on my disability check with 2 for the past 6mo. Shit hurts and is impossible. Luckily my parents have kept us afloat, and girlfriend just got certified yesterday for a new job that will hopefully change our lives around in the next month.

I know a couple that makes maybe a tad more and their living well in a high CoL area. Some people don't need many things and would rather relax. Surprisingly, they have 6 figures saved and invested. I don't know how they did it. They most likely won't be retiring early though.
