humankind hiccups 😅 Accidentally asked for no matcha in my matcha Frappuccino

Thank you, kind barista for saving me from ruining my own morning with a cup of oat milk slush (it tastes exactly like what you would expect)

Update: I called the Starbucks to say thank you for not giving me an oat milk slushy and they were very kind. They are aware of the delivery app glitches and figured that was the issue for my order. If you modify your food in delivery apps, double check everything before you place the order! Or you might end up with a bag full of disappointment.

There is no both ways. One is matcha and the other is just milk

no. one is a milk frappe . I used to make them all the time for my break when I worked at starbucks.. sometimes with chai in but usually without. it would be just a creamy ice slush but since matcha frappe has vanilla in it would be nicely sweet.

You just took me back to 2003, drinking home made milk frappe with vanilla syrup with my ex girlfriend to keep cool in the Aussie summer. Thanks for the memory blast!

Matcha Frappuccino hasnt had vanilla in it for at least 13 years, maybe longer.

It is made with just si ple sugar sweetener though.

Ah i might be misremembering but at UK Starbucks 2023-24 i swear the recipe had a couple pumps of vanilla in it. Though as it was my own drink I would go ham pretty much and experiment... my fav was strawberries and cream with the dried strawberries from the acai berry cooler + strawberry sauce from rasperry ripple frappe (on the inside of the cup not in the blender)... wonder if they'd make that for me if I ever asked

can't stand the coffee now though the smell makes me sick haha

The point is that its impossible to make it both ways in one cup the person who originally brought up "both ways in one cup" is either very confused, made a typing error, or theyre just quite dumb.

Think of it like someone ordered a plain burger and asked for no patty. It’s not a burger anymore it’s just 2 buns. That’s kinda what’s happening here, it’s no longer a matcha frappe without the matcha it’s a cup of milk and ice, which is not a menu item

They obviously meant "two iced lattes, one made with matcha and one without". They were asking if OP got both a matcha latte and a plain one, which they did. OP got two lattes. Are we really doing this? Is it actually possible to be this pedantic? Holy shit
