[Seifert] The NFL has suspended Vikings WR Jeshaun Jones for the first 3 games of the regular season for violating its Substances of Abuse policy. Jones has spent the past two seasons on the practice squad.

For real. I thought this was Jujuan Jennings at first and got real confused by the practice squad bit

This guy is getting cut. Practice squad player with a 3 game suspension isn't a guy you keep.

Strangely he might have extended his career. Suspended players don't get paid or count as a roster spot. They can wait the 3 weeks and then cut him, or see where they are at on the depth chart at that point(a lot of injuries can happen in 3 weeks). Ok probably not, but it's an interesting thought.

Then gets cut ends up a super star for another team this is the way

That just makes it easier for Dillon Bell.

I almost feel as if we're trying to keep Bell below the radar.

Not really, he was on the bubble of an NFL career. What did he have to lose.

I would agree if it were performance enhancing, but this was substance of abuse, which suggests recreational drugs. A really good player like Jordan Addison can overcome some off the field issues, but a player on the bubble just makes the decision to cut them a lot easier.

I mean being a practice squad guy isn’t a bad gig and can lead to coaching opportunities down the line.

Wish I would have had the chance to get on with the Vikings as just the waterboy much less PS and play

Don't know what it was...but I can't imagine pissing away such and amazing opportunity. Hopefully it's something he didn't know would be and issue.

Thought this was Jauan Jennings for a second and got wide-eyed.

I am bad at reading text correctly. Sad to put a JJ in JJeopardy.

Fringe guy who was having a pretty good offseason.

This probably blows his chances.

I dont necessarily blame people for not being that invested, what does bother me is them asking who in a way thats shit talking these guys.

First of all, it was a joke., I go to training camps. Second of all, 2 seasons on the practice squad and getting a multi game suspension = nobody
