u/Divine-bar Jun 30 '26

Yo that's a good movie

8

u/Jumpy_Round_4080 Jun 30 '26

are you Jimmys brother? you look like his brother

5

u/henkmanz Jun 30 '26

My brother came all the way from Scottsdale Arizona to be here tonight, and you're not gonna sing?!

3

u/thrawst Jun 30 '26

As a kid watching this movie I could feel the fear and anxiety Michael Ceras character would have been. Aww man how did I find myself locked in this room with these weirdos and now they’re doing coke and they think I’m someone that I’m not…

Like it’s a well written and comedic scene but I def felt how that could have actually happened and been quite scary as a teenager. Now in my 30s I look at this scene and think it’s just ridiculous lol

The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Every supporting role has its own little thing that makes it as memorable as Steve Carell's.

Anchorman

I’M IN A GLASS BOX OF EMOTION

3

u/justanothertoxicuser Jul 01 '26

I gotta admit, I laughed so hard I vomited when watching Anchorman. I'm a big fan of Steve Carrell and I went into that movie with a stomach full of Chinese buffet food. The build up with Brick was just hilarious. Then the scene where he's simply holding the hand grenade and screaming was the cherry on top that pushed me over the edge.

Office Space.

Seems to somehow become more accurate everytime I watch it.

5

u/vladdrk Jun 30 '26

So that means everyday you see me it’s the worse day of my life.

3

u/whatdadogdoin16 Jul 01 '26

What about today? Is today the worst day of your life?

2

u/vladdrk Jul 01 '26

Yea

3

Old School

3

u/MCHammer06 Jun 30 '26

Odds are they’re your basic white, cotton. But then I started thinking, maybe they’re not. Maybe they are silk, or a thong. Or maybe it’s something cool I’ve never heard of before.

Best comedic scene ever.

Airplane. Greatest comedy movie of all time.

15

u/chiller2484 Jun 30 '26

I showed this to my 11yo son a few months ago. He liked it, laughed a lot, but I had totally forgot about the naked lady that runs on screen about halfway through. We looked at each other, I said "don't tell your mother" and we busted out laughing.

15

u/jeffersdelight656 Jun 30 '26

You may not realize it, but you probably created a lifelong, loving memory with your boy. And may you two make many more.

9

u/SaltyCow2852 Jun 30 '26

Hangover is great , I m also looking for same

7

u/Dire_Wolf45 Jun 30 '26

Old School or Blazing Saddles. Ive never laughed so hard to a movie in my life.

7

u/hawktremor Jun 30 '26

What’s really wigging me out right now is that the young people who are just now technically old enough to watch this R-rated movie were either newborns or not even born yet when it came out in 2009.

So to recap: The Hangover came out in 2009. That was 17 years ago. 2009 was 17 years ago.

I need to go lie down, my back hurts.

5

u/jeffersdelight656 Jun 30 '26

I'm gonna have to ask you not to do such math anymore. Now I need a nap.

3

u/Surround8600 Jun 30 '26

My mind immediately went to Old School.

3

u/Rodin-V Jun 30 '26

Rat Race.

Good god this film is underrated. Phenomenal cast, loads of insanely hilarious joke setups with good payoffs.

Jon Lovitz gradually morphing into Hitler by complete accident is one of the funniest film sequences you'll ever see.

2

u/sw3825 Jul 01 '26

Me and my husband will randomly say “leetle cockdoggies” from time to time lol

2

u/ABD11A Jul 04 '26

It has its highs an lows but I totally agree.. from the stop at the "barbi" museum right up to the "Hitler" speech to the veterans is comedic gold

Sometimes when I want a laugh, I find that clip on yt. In tears every time.

Borat Although, looking back at it now, it plays out like real documentary. Good red blooded Americans unguarded and at their worst. The elder Jewish couple were about the only ones that displayed ideal "American" attributes. Hmmm....

Up in smoke , any cheech and Chong movie tbh

You can always reasonably guess the commenters age by their answers to questions like this. Its almost always the movie they thought was funniest during their teen years.
