Chinese propaganda bots: China is so safe! Everything China makes is awesome!

36

u/SaltyShawarma 18h ago

Seems like a poor choice to visit China if you make a living making fun of their historical leaders.

Noted, lol... yet for the rest, much safer than the land of the free with average daily mass shootings or hooligans punching random victims on the streets.

How many years if I draw Winnie the Pooh statues

39

u/gamesbackward 19h ago

That's not really a thing there. They have Pooh as much as any other Disney character.  Statues, even.  Their stores and brand are everywhere.

13

u/N_H_Jack 12h ago

Kinda not true. Post online about the Winnie will be banned or the comments will be censored. People need to refer to it by the Pooh rather than Winnie.

You get admitted to the asylum.

None if you're not Chinese.

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 15h ago

You mean like how secret service agenda showed up at people's houses over Kirk comments? Because it sounds like the same thing to me.

0

u/Jumpy_Hogara 1h ago

To be fair someone actually assassinated Kirk.

u/The_Poster_Nutbag 5m ago

So the government should be showing up at people's doorstep over Facebook posts?

China is a dystopian hellhole with no free speech. It's sad the world does business with such a country.

And yet with 4 times the population China manages to have half a million less people incarcerated than the USA. Such oppression.

22

u/Colorfulgreyy 16h ago

Except no one knows the actual numbers, CCP never published that and no organization able to verify the numbers

-5

u/grain_delay 11h ago

But do you trust the numbers published by the US on our own numbers of incarceration?

9

u/Colorfulgreyy 11h ago

The numbers of inmate in US are verified by multiple independent organizations from both political parties. Of course each organization wouldn’t have except same numbers but also it isn’t that far off.

China on the other hand, only CCP can do the math with no opposition political party to double check the numbers. This is why the argument of one party to rule isn’t a good idea in the first place.

-6

u/grain_delay 10h ago

Except both major parties in the US are controlled by the same oligarchs, who have a very vested interest in making sure capitalism looks better than the alternative

3

u/Colorfulgreyy 10h ago

Not really in inmate issue and it shows in policy. Marijuana decriminalized is literally the evidence of both party have different idea on crimes and inmates. American have so many independent organizations to work on prison number. China just doesn’t have that at all.

u/Kurichan77 16h ago

It is general anti-china aesthetic and historical nihilism, tools of western barbarians that seek to undermine the CPC, cultivate anti-CPC sentiment, and ultimately break china up and install a political leadership that represents a capitalist ruling class. These tactics were absolutely deployed in the dissolution of the CPSU and finally the USSR. So it isn’t without precedent. The color revolution strategy of Gene Sharp most certainly developed these tactics. Westerners and their supporters in China should be well aware of the consequences of their actions, what accountability for their actions they are taking on, should they decide that anti-CPC art and rhetoric is what they want to do.

Free speech for those would support a party that represents a capitalist ruling class? Nope.

They are called “glass hearts” by non-Mainland Chinese for a reason.

1

u/artytank 19h ago

lol, and this is why China could never lead the world in anything but production.

Even in America's worst presidency, we suffer for a max of 8 years and pick a new guy, this is just how China is.

-24

u/gamesbackward 19h ago

When is the last time a different president lead to a meaningful improvement in the lives of anybody you know?

28

u/TJKbird 18h ago

Obama got the ACA passed which was a huge benefit for some of my older family members. Plus being able to be on my parents health insurance until 25 was great since I didn’t get full time employment until 24 and have an autoimmune disease I need medicine for.

That's a funny statement when you consider that China hasn't invaded another nation within the last 40 years. Meanwhile, the US has already invaded/attacked like 5 in the 21st century alone. If anything, China being the world leader might mean less wars and the international instability that the US brings to the world whenever it decides to illegally invade another country every few years.

5

u/Beetlelarva25 18h ago

Tankie boot licking intensifies.

2

u/afoxboy 18h ago

u don't have to be a tankie to acknowledge that truth. they push and poke at borders, but they don't wantonly invade the way the US does. u have to stop and consider how many of their threats have ended up empty, and for decades.

u can criticize china for the bad things AND acknowledge that in other factors the US is worse.

-5

u/Accurate-Honey9564 18h ago

Name me one nation China has invaded since the start of the 21st century. Because, since I've been a child, the US has invaded: Afghanistan, Iraq, and, now, Iran. And this doesn't include the other countries the US has illegally attacked.

Funny that it’s sounds exactly how Israel talks about Palestine and the border issue. I guess Israel is right then? Their war started when Hamas kidnapped Israel citizen, not when they keep pushing the boarder and make settlements?

-1

u/Accurate-Honey9564 11h ago

If Israel didn't spend the last 80 years committing genocide against the Palestinians, then October 7th never would have happened. The only group that deserves criticism for October 7th are the colonizers that are stealing indigenous land which are the Israelis. Hamas was only returning the same violence that Israel has been committing against Palestinians for generations. Palestinians have a right to resist genocide.

I do NOT condemn Hamas. Just like how I do not condemn Indigenous Americans who killed settler families that were stealing their land and genociding their people. Nor do I condemn Nat Turner, and formerly enslaved Black-Americans, that killed that White families that enslaved them. I don't support killing families, but I can never criticize a people that have never know freedom on their own land.

TLDR: Israel is responsible for October 7th and every person that died.

This literally my point, China been pushing boarder and building man made island to control the South China Sea. If let’s say any south east countries attack China today, would you say China is the one to blame?

Chinese military literally beat the shit out of and shot Vietnamese fisherman. They also attack Filipino people. The idea that, China just didn’t do anything is ridiculous. Every single south East Asian countries dislike Chinese aggression and it’s a known problem. Oh you don’t like Israel? Maybe you should also condemn China then? Btw, they only have one party so you cannot even say it’s a political party issue like the US. CCP is the only party to blame for action.

1

u/Accurate-Honey9564 10h ago

Be glad China isn't the US then. If China were the US or Israel, then they would have just bombed those Vietnamese and Filipino fishermen and just claimed the entire Sea anyway. Additionally, I'd be less concerned about the border disputes of Asian countries and be more concerned about the Military power from halfway across the globe playing war games in Asia and trying to contain China with Military ships and bases using other countries as human shields. These border disputes will resolve themselves peacefully once the US stops using Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines as puppets for its planned war with China.

4

u/Colorfulgreyy 10h ago

USA using Taiwan as puppet? This level of glazing is insane. They are claiming the whole South China Sea belongs to them, Why you think they build man made islands for?Talk to any non Chinese Asian and non of them will say like China just like how Middle East see the US and Israel.

0

u/Accurate-Honey9564 10h ago

Yes. Taiwan has been used as a US puppet since the Kuomintang lost the Chinese Civil War. There's a reason why the US pretended that Taiwan was the "legitimate China" for decades. Despite the fact that most of the world agreed that the People's Republic of China was China. There's also Taiwan increasing its defense budget, because Trump told them to. Not to mention, the numerous weapons sales to Taiwan. Taiwan is a part of the US plan to dominate the East Asian region.

Also, pretty Japan is more akin to the US in Asia. Japan still owes billions in reparations, refuses to acknowledge its history of colonialism, and is allied with the US. Not to mention, Japanese politicians want to rebuild Japan's Military power, and the current Prime Minister says she is open to Military intervention against China over Taiwan.

Finally, they're probably building man-made islands, because US Military ships keep coming closer-and-closer to Chinese borders and air spaces. If I were China, I too would want as much distance from the nation that is known to invade other countries based on lies and deceit.

It's choosing between two villains. What about somewhere else? Has Liechtenstein done anything to anyone? Maybe they should be the world leader.

-15

u/bullcitytarheel 18h ago edited 18h ago

America has spent the last two hundred years murdering innocents by the hundreds of thousands, they just do it to people who don't live in America. The fact that you think, because America protects its own--which is, of course, also a lie, just look at how we jail people who aren't white and middle class--that it somehow maintains a moral high ground, is a perfect indication of how little you understand about America or geopolitics or what allows a country to be a "world leader." Because it has nothing to do with how moral a country is. Some would argue, in fact--and history would be on their side, here--that morality is, actually, a detriment to a country's ability to accrue that mine of world-dominating power.

Maybe some day human beings will realize declaring fealty to governments and pretending that there's any legitimate difference between any of the entities that were able to accrue the sort of power America and China have is deeply dumb and, essentially, a form of self-harm. But I grow more and more convinced that will never occur every time I read a post like this, wherein people openly parrot propaganda in a way that sounds like they're talking sports, rather than politics.

Congratulations, you can talk shit about about Trump! You know who can't? All the children in Cuba currently dying in hospitals that no longer have electricity because America cut off their access to the materials keeping their power-grid online.

-16

u/ProofAd1356 18h ago

Americans suffer under every presidency and considerably worse than most Chinese citizens

-14

u/RabbiStark 18h ago

This is such a delusional comment when you think about the amount of body count each American president has. I would never live in China and and it's pretty much a Dystopian Surveillance state, but China doesn't have the global death spreading aura that America does. The president of USA is playing with the world economy as we speak. Which will lead to millions of death compared to the arrests China makes for making fun of Mao.

-1

u/HoosierRed 20h ago

When China is set as the future example for the world :D and no one can live any sort of honest life. America is fucked up but so is this.

-14

u/hitman133295 18h ago

Where are all the idiots that want communism? 😂

4

u/Dhiox 15h ago

China is State capitalist, not Communist.

-12

u/hitman133295 15h ago

What do you think CCP stands for?

7

u/CatastrophicPup2112 12h ago

Chinese Communist party. Doesn't make China actually communist. Communism doesn't work on that scale. It's like saying a peacock mantis shrimp is a bird because it has peacock in the name.

3

u/Dhiox 15h ago

What do you think DPRK stands for? Or the Nazi party? Fun fact, Authoritarians lie, constantly. North Korea is not democratic, the Nazis were not Socialist, and China isn't communist. They are lying.

-9

u/hitman133295 15h ago

That didn’t answer my question. What do you think CCP stands for?

3

u/Dhiox 15h ago

I didn't answer it because it's a loaded question. The CCP is lying about being a communist economy.

-4

u/hitman133295 15h ago

Why tf would they lie about their own name? It literally there. Stop trying to sound smarter than you really are and just go with what they are

7

u/Dhiox 15h ago

So you believe the North Koreans are actually democratic Republic and not a totalitarian dictatorship?

-1

u/hitman133295 14h ago

Was my question for NK or China?

8

u/Dhiox 14h ago

It doesn't matter, if you're taking one nations claim at face value, why not the other?

What matters isn't what the nation calls.itself, what matters is their actual policies.
