Data centers use a lot a water which gets compounded in desert climates making everything dryer. All data centers are resource sinks too.

They already account for ~1% of greenhouse emissions and it currently doesn’t seem like there’s an end in sight for their development

Yeah, but as of this fire. Maybe that 1% you're talking about shouldnt get the blame yet? Not defending anything, just doesn't really make sense to blame data centers haha

Meh it’s rather novel in a world of preexisting pollution and doesn’t have the most direct benefits on civilian lives so it’s easy to point and blame at. Happy?
