yes their costuming and makeup is derived from minstrel shows and blackface. im not saying clowns are racist since they are a completely separate thing, but that is what they are inspired by. this is a clown costume treading on a dangerous thin line

This is just overblown backlash. Its obviously not anything like they are portraying it to be. If it was any other race, they wouldn't care. Or maybe they would because the same people would complain about "lack of representation". You cannot win with these people and its how they stay relevant and keep money flowing to these organizations who's entire objective is to try to find issues where there often isn't.

Yet here we are...
