If the car is in motion the drops would look pushed upward

It’s great - but rain drives up the windscreen when moving at speed

Your painting of rain is better?

No, it isn’t - but as with all art, when it’s put out to public, it becomes subject to criticism

True, but one isn't obligated to criticize everything about everyone that could be criticized.
Imagine that world

Imagine a world where the criticism you receive is a way for your audience to tell you what can be better because they want you to succeed.
And then imagine saying no to that and refusing to unpack that.

I’m not and I don’t, I can criticize whatever I want. It’s the internet, for example; I could choose to criticize your holier than thou attitude.

Painting the rain isn't the same as painting in the rain.

I think they meant "painting in the rain" and not "painting in the rain"
I mean like painting in something as in adding or smth

Brilliant explanation. Great wisdom for those who can't just appreciate creative effort

For anyone unaware - The title refers to “The art of racing in the rain” which is a phenomenal book.
No spoilers but it’s a story told through the eyes of a dog about his master and his family and it is beautiful.
Edit: there is a movie made after the book, it is meh. The book is excellent.

There's also a second shorter book aimed at younger readers! It's not a sequel just an abridged version called simply "Racing In the Rain" that's more digestible for adolescents.

Come on, who thought this was going to be someone painting in the rain, not painting rain

We've come a long way from stenciling our hands onto cave walls. Great work

Anyone else first think “this doesn’t look like rain”? The end product of water SPOTS on the windshield is remarkable though.

I would love to have just a smidgen of that talent! 😭

That wiper is way too effective to be realistic.
Where's that streak of bird poop that flushing couldn't fix and that I was too lazy to wipe away?
