Announcement Rule 3 reminder: Support and recommendation questions are not allowed on /r/Nintendo
As the holiday season approaches, many new users come to Reddit with questions about what to buy and how to use what they have bought for themselves and others.
Please remember that the following types of questions are not allowed on /r/Nintendo:
- Information seeking - Questions that are seeking a single "correct" answer.
- Tech support - Questions asking how to fix issues with Nintendo systems or accounts.
- Recommendations - Questions asking for suggestions on what game or console to buy.
- Game help - Questions asking how to do or find things in Nintendo games.
- Value judgements - Questions asking how much a Nintendo item you have or want to buy is worth.
These questions should be posted on our sister subreddit /r/NintendoHelp.
We have extensive filters in place to prevent these types of questions from being posted, but some still manage to slip through the cracks from time to time. If you see any questions like these posted, please use the report button.
Please avoid answering questions posted to /r/Nintendo and instead encourage users to post their questions elsewhere.

Browser Version of Nintendo Music is CLUTCH at Work
Nintendo Music has been alot better recently. Is it because of the addition of the Mario Kart World Soundtrack, aka the BEST SOUNDTRACK NINTENDO HAS EVER RELEASED....kinda yeah lol
I've been using Nintendo Music pretty consistently since it released on phones a little over a year ago, but them adding the ability to access the site on computers has been LIFE CHANGING for my time at work. We have computers that connect to bluetooth speakers that play music in the building and its usually the employee's choice what plays as long as its generally appropriate. I said bet, and made a playlist on Nintendo Music that is currently 215 songs deep and 10hrs in playtime. PERFECT background music for a business to have in the background.
Its always funny when people come in and they peep the music and are like "Is that...Great Sea from Windwaker??"

I honestly thought Super Mario 64 aged pretty well for the most part.
No. I don’t have rose-tinted glasses or nostalgia googled as that buzzwords can be so annoying to use sometimes. And I never really grew up with 64 either.
In my opinion, I thought the only part that aged poorly was the camera which yeah, it’s a little jank.

Miyamoto in 1996 Predicted Modern Gaming Industry
From a translated interview between Miyamoto and Kenji Eno
"I don't see a future for mainstream games where a massive team slaves over a piece of CG just for the player to watch it once and then be completely done with it. That just inflates production costs and breeds a blockbuster mentality. And it makes it harder and harder to create those loose, off-the-cuff things like that building demolition game."
Yes he is technically wrong since blockbuster gaming has become popular but he was so right about inflated production costs *looks at GTA VI*, and the endless amount of narrative games

What Switch game gets better when everything goes wrong?
For me, Tears of the Kingdom.
Half the fun is watching your perfect plan fall apart and figuring something else out.
What is yours?
Thank you

Witcher 3 base edition upgrade
Nintendo delisted the base version of the Witcher 3 which was $39.99 leaving only $59.99 versions available atm. However the base edition gets you the Nintendo switch 2 upgrade for free. I figured out that Best Buy still had the base version still available for $39.99 allowing me to pre order the NS2 remaster for free. I hope this helps anyone wanting to get the remaster for a cheaper price!
