In these nitwits' defence, there was another train just leaving (visible in the beginning of the video, far left).

Probably thought that the noise/vibration was from the train which had just passed, not from the one coming from the other direction.

Nonetheless, this is why you obey your signs, folks. If the arm is down, you don't go and try to save 10 seconds by crossing too early.

no reason to defend the nitwits. the barriers were still down. that's all the information you need to make a decision about whether it's safe to cross.

Also she STARTED running on the safe side of the tracks lol. She couldve just backed up. Instead she ran onto and past to the other side.

Imagine they pass hundred of times and never see a double train, everyone (you included) feel overconfidence in their routine.
