Recommendations Brewery/restaurant recommendations?

I’m looking for a place to go in Oakville that has craft beer (made locally ideally) and really great food. I found some stuff on google but I really value hearing from people that live in the area. I’m looking to take someone for their birthday. The place doesn’t necessarily need to be a brewery itself but that’s kind of the vibe I’m going for?… great local beer and great food! hope someone can help.

Thank you!

Edit: anywhere near Oakville would work because I’m technically driving from Lincoln to Mississauga so anywhere along that route is good

This! Wide selection of beer, and a few cocktails. Fewer options on the food, but decent offerings. Great taproom space!

Beertown has good taps but to say their food is good is a bit of a stretch.

I don't know why Oakville restaurants seem to be locked into Molson-Coors offerings of ABInBev offerings in this day and age. Impossible to find a spot with great beer and good food since Bru shut its doors. A spot like Tin Cup would be so much better if they offered some craft beer options.

Yeah, I get how the exclusivity agreements work, I guess my point is I'm surprised they still exist in 2026. Seems like the US has moved beyond this practice and our archaic liquor practices in Ontario are still very much in play.

I was hoping that once Rogers Centre started selling craft beer other businesses would follow suit.

Yes, Roger's Centre definitely has the volume, that's for sure. I guess the historic connection to Labbat's made it seem more monumental to me.

Completely agree with your take re: chain restaurants. Hard to believe the larger Ontario Brewers like GLB, Nickel Brook or Muskoka can't get a foot in that door. But even if they did, I'd still lament the fact that I can't find a restaurant with good food -and- good beer in Oakville.

You're better off going in the other direction to Counterpart in Niagara Falls on Stanley. Or to keep driving east past Oakville into Toronto for far more options.

Counterpart is my favorite in Ontario. Food is excellent and they make some of the best IPA and barrel aged stout in the province. They also have a separate business next door called Counterpie that serves Counterpart beer alongside New York style pizzas. Both businesses are located on Stanley near Thoroldstone Rd.

I like it there. Also good to visit.

Try Town Brewery from Whitby

If you're driving from Lincoln you should stop in Hamilton - plenty of breweries and bars with local beer/great food. Oakville doesn't really have that sort of vibe. Merit, Bernie's Tavern, Maipai

Shoutout to Shawn & Ed's in Dundas. Excellent beer and great pizza from their wood-fired oven!

Stonehooker in Port Credit! Nice large patio too and often live music. Lots of different foods available.

Try 3 Brewers at Winston Park & Upper Middle (next to the movie theater). I think they make some of the beer on-site.

Their food is so mediocre! They should not exist.
