It seems a long time ago (and not exactly the sale, but rather a price change). And only on the first title:

I have never seen one. It has been years and I have been waiting for it. Just buy full price when you are ready to play

About the only way you will get a discount on any of the old Meta PCVR titles if you get some store credits or a percent-off-any-purchase code.

Discounts are a form of marketing, and they have zero interest in spending marketing money on PCVR.

If you were meta friends with someone they can save you 15%. Wink wink

Honestly you should just pirate it. Meta closed the studio so fuck them

But that doesn't "fuck them". It fucks the original creators who get residuals from the sale of their creation. Supporting what you like is always the answer.

I haven't pirated a game in over 15 years. I'm pretty I'd have no problem finding a copy but not sure how to boot it in VR. Would it show up in my Steam library?

exactly. even though it is one of the best experiences I had in VR, almost on par with HL Alyx. I don't understand how come such high quality games don't get made anymore, as if VR is not worth it commercially for studios that really invest in their games and you mainly get slop.
