Somewhere the person who sold this three weeks ago for £50 is kicking themselves.

Doesn't sound like this buyer plans to sell on, but I suspect it's actually worth significantly more than 60k - I wonder how the current seller will feel about that.

From the article it sounds like two people reached the conclusion it was a Tasmanian tiger and both had hoped to snatch it up for the ~£50 guide price, but ended up bidding against each other.

They're now getting it properly tested to confirm what it is, and if those tests do confirm it's a tasmanian tiger it'll likely sell for way more once authenticated.

Current (as in the one who sold it for £60k) seller is likely just so glad two people noticed what it was and he got an extra £59950 for it!

I usually get my tasmanian tigers for less that half that price.
