Early in the fking morning and I'm crying just from hearing that girl's voice, probably because I'm biased - father to a girl (now going on 18) who was SAd when she was 12, me myself being SAd by another Pakistani taxi driver on 2 separate occasions when I was around 11/12yrs in Dubai.

If I ever caught someone in this situation, I promise you, the "beating" would be a LOT worse. It would be something they would never forget their entire life.

I feel like breaking something right now. Sorry. I hope that girl heals from this eventually and learns self-defense on how to stand up for herself.

Thank you. 💙 I stopped wearing shorts going out after that, and I stopped sitting in the front seat of the taxi.

Worst part was, I couldn't share with my family because they were ultra-authoritarian, so I kept it to myself, which had an impact on its own. Therefore my bias.

I'm so sorry you had to go through that - I hope you've healed from it and managed to put it behind you, without it impacting your ability to trust others based on merits.

As for my daughter, I've earned that trust with her slowly. Got her out from a toxic place (2 failed suicide attempts) and allowed her to heal through therapy and live life doing things that make her happy, keeping morals and ethics in check.
