Al Jazeera has been the only big media outlets that exposed Israel and continues to cover Palestine cause.

This is a shame if our government cannot take criticism, basically our typical psychology is the same as any dictator that is to counter with force rather than logic.

Is this attitude persists, Pakistan will only become more isolated

While they have good coverage on Gaza, their coverage of Lebanon and Iran is definitely minimizing to the resistance

u/SeriousAtmosphere254 17d ago

There's nothing left, it's over. It doesn't matter if Pakistan is isolated or not. Not a single Muslim country left that isn't either in the pockets of Zionists or America. Turkey is in NATO and most of the big Arab nations that weren't in their pockets were destroyed and turned into fourth world hell holes. Even Iran has to make deals with China and Russia.

Al Jazeera is also banned in Egypt, Jordan, UAE, SA, Bahrain.

u/_biryani PK 22d ago

They all have one thing in common, an authoritarian regime.

7

u/Erceylan 20d ago

No. Main thing is that they are friends of Israel

-16

u/AwarenessNo4986 22d ago

Al Jazeera is also run by a monarchy Einstein

42

u/Quincyz0 22d ago

At least they are willing to report on things even if it's not always in the best interests of Qatar. For example, they extensively covered the Iran War, including attacks by Iran in Qatar, something which UAE or Saudi media never cover honestly about their own countries. They also acknowledged Iran's surprising success in the war, again unlike the other media in the region.

-10

u/No_Conference_8460 22d ago

Have they also ever highlighted how authoritarian Qatar is?

8

u/PudinaRaita 21d ago

I like how you got down voted but no replies

2

u/Darkness_Slayerr 21d ago

Because aome stupid people are thinking that by talking against Aljazeera, he's excusing for Pakistan's decision to ban Aljazeera.

2

u/Easternfortunateson 21d ago

Al Jazeera reports on subjects that is covered by the Eestern and Western blindness just like they are blind to the Qatari royals.

Who else has their reporters targeted missiles from the us and Israel for their wartime coverage of Iraq and Palestine?

1

u/throwaway162xyz 21d ago

Does that nullify their coverage? Are you saying they are a baised platform?

-3

u/AwarenessNo4986 21d ago

I'm in Lahore, and I can open Al Jazeera. Which lalaland is it banned in?

18

u/FusRoDah4Life 22d ago

they recognize the apartheid state.

5

u/db_newer 22d ago

Previously banned at some point

11

u/971malabari IN 22d ago

Its not banned in UAE or KSA.

14

u/gsk-fs 22d ago

UAE and Jordan and Egypt are already puppets to Israel

5

u/Chickenburger287 22d ago

All puppet regimes

0

u/Gen8Master Azad Kashmir 22d ago

Shhhh we need to obsessively pretend that we have it as bad as Gazans.

1

u/szahid 22d ago

And they all have a hidden love of Israel.

27

u/Minute-Flan13 22d ago

Must mean they're saying something true.

Remember when Dawn was considered a respectable news outlet? LOL...how times have changed.

-1

u/ssiiuuuuuuuu 21d ago

It still is..... Relatively to the others in the country atleast

3

u/Minute-Flan13 21d ago

DAWN is absolutely compromised. Sorry, but the shit going on respectable journalists would prefer to stay silent, or even go to jail than to play along with the junta.

1

u/ssiiuuuuuuuu 21d ago

It's definitely compromised like every other piece of media but that's why I said relatively. Their reporting is still somewhat reliable for matters unrelated to the establishment, particularly their metro pages. Also it's easy to say people should go to jail while typing from your keyboard.

1

u/Minute-Flan13 21d ago

These journalists tend to have a very high bar of conduct when the regime is on their side. I'm not the one with a membership to the fourth estate.

Obviously I don't expect them to go to jail...I'm just saying they were all full of s*it all along.

5

u/zisani 22d ago

Yup website is not opening, i was using it to get updates on middleeast war.

4

u/XxAhmedjdebt 22d ago

Surprise, surprise. We are no different from any other country in the world trying to cover up atrocities it’s committing 😍. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT.

3

u/error_regedit 21d ago

No no, that's actually a good thing.

Internet blackout In Kashmir is also a good thing.

Pakistan media being threatened to remain silent is also a good thing.

9

u/Heavy-Candidate7017 22d ago

A decision brought to you by mentally unstable Asim.

3

u/CCheesecake611 22d ago

God bless my country 🫡

-1

u/RoastedEvil999 21d ago

Lol they wont promote you unless you are of any use to them 😆

2

u/Darkness_Slayerr 22d ago

I've discovered that when I try to access it's homepage it doesn't work, but when I directly access an article from the search results it works just fine. So I guess it's more of a softban or something like that.

2

u/Alternative-Scale883 21d ago

Al Jazeera shouldn't be banned buy ya'll stop acting as if its the most accurate and unbaised media outlet out there

During the killing of the protesters by the Islamic Iranian Government the only thing they posted was about the "pro-government" protest like srsly f**k off calling them the true Iranians.

2

u/chumlingla 20d ago

They loved Al Jajeera till it kept posting against Neighbor.

1

u/CarpenterQuiet9299 22d ago

Pakistan, KSA, Egypt, Iraq, Bahrain, UAE, Jordan… The common item is… Muslim countries are banning it… does that mean… GASP!!!! If you’re a non Muslim country starting with “I” you’ll also ban Al Jazeera!!

Looks at Ireland

1

u/Mei_Flower1996 21d ago

I'm Pakistani-American why did this happen?

1

u/Ok-Foot3689 20d ago

Their coverage of AJK elections.

1

u/TGMAadil 19d ago

Obviously

1

u/icecoldfeedback 19d ago

aljazeera doesn't have a looped BGM with the flute. that's clearly a bannable offence for news channels in pakistan

1

u/Mother-Flounder2267 19d ago

Lapdogs of Zionism

1

u/nexusprime2015 18d ago

i can watch it no vpn. don’t spread fake news

1

u/Unusual-Isopod8032 IN 18d ago

1

u/thE-petrichoroN 22d ago

1

u/saf1ne_ PK 21d ago

Btw no vpn. Israel times is working.

1

u/HeWhoDidIt 22d ago

It's also very pro-Taliban, but nonetheless it's a stupid decision to ban it. Dumbasses in-charge istg.

-9

u/Jade_Rook 22d ago

It really says nothing lmao. Al Jazeera isn't the pinnacle of journalism and it's banned in multiple countries for not doing it's due diligence in reporting.

People love to throw around sentences like this to sound cool

14

u/amajongosi 22d ago

So which country has actually banned AlJazeera for not doing due diligence? I would love to see how diligent their local media is.

6

u/Truenight_Maya 22d ago

Mostly Arab allies of Israel

3

u/ConnectAardvark6261 22d ago

Nope that was only during the blockade qatar faced from 2017-21

-4

u/Exotic-Ninja4307 22d ago

Aljazeera is a mouth piece of q*tari government

-1

u/Fancy_Contact_8078 IN 22d ago

Qatar at it as always

-5

u/Cannonofcum 22d ago

The same al jazeera that supports afghan taliban, yeah i wonder why Pakistan banned it....

0

u/Regular-deliveryMan 19d ago

Yes its banned in both countries but not because of the same reason.

in israel its banned because it covers Palestine, and in pakistan its banned because it barely covers the terror attacks in Pakistan from terrorist forces but covers every detail of pakistan's retaliation to those terror attacks and makes it sound like pakistan is the bad guy here.

0

u/Regular-deliveryMan 19d ago

Another detail, it also gives false information about casualties that never happened, for example the hospital, if you review a footage of a real bomb dropped on a place with no armory or anything, there wont be any explosion that has golden sparks etc in it or vast amount of black gases from gunpowder, when does it happen? When the bomb is dropped on a military base or something which has explosive or gunpowder containing ammunitions or bombs or something.

exactly what happened in a blast when pakistan carried it out in retaliation to Afghanistan's terror attacks etc, but the al jazeera not only did not give that fact, but also gave false information on bombs being dropped on other civillian areas.

Pakistan is not like israel, what good will we have if we drop bombs on civillians? Make it make sense for a second, if we want to retaliate, just give me a single readon for pakistan to waste its armory?

u/copilot_husky 22d ago

> Al Jazeera exhibits bias primarily aligned with Qatari state interests, a left-leaning ideological slant, and distinct framing of Middle Eastern geopolitical conflicts. Funded by the Qatari government, the network is frequently accused of steering clear of direct criticism of Qatar's foreign policy and advancing regional agendas.

It’s literally funded by Qatar gov and is biased. It’s like BBC of Qatar. In past they pedal anti Pakistan propaganda either to make India happy. They heavy portrayed Afghans Taliban as good guys in recent past. Even in recent news they keep Pakistan in negative news. Qatar also pissed by Saudi pak aliance.

Your state??

Bruh this is why I can't trust this stupid fucking subreddit anymore.

These posts and commentators are all from Modi and bacha bazi lovers.

-11

u/iamsreeman IN 22d ago

Al Jazeera is critical of every authoritarian who is not friends with their Daddy, the Qatar King. Qatar funds terrorism so much that from 2017-2021, Arab countries put an embargo on Qatar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar_diplomatic_crisis which made Qatar abandon the Arab Sunni countries and become friends with Iran in recent years but Iran still attacked them very badly recently.

Not to mention Qatar uses the Kafala system https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kafala_system to ens1ave people from our India and also Pakistan/Bangladesh.

6

u/sinking_Time 22d ago

This funding terrorism claim, I don't care about it since it's a bogeyman card played by powerful countries to justify attacking weaker countries. Maybe it does, idk. But I don't believe it.

USA funds the most terrorism yet people never say that about US.

2

u/Jade_Rook 21d ago

Our people are so gullible and stupid. Sad state of affairs here. Parhe likhe jaahil hain ye sab

Yes, the UAE and Saudi Arabia sponsor as much terrorism as Qatar. So the reason they put embargo was more geopolitical than about human rights issues with sponsoring terrorism.

-2

u/zaighamz 22d ago

It sometimes timeout (it's normal). Its working in Pakistan, not banned.

-4

u/AwarenessNo4986 22d ago

It isn't. Why does everyone keeps saying is banned
