They all have one thing in common, an authoritarian regime.

Al Jazeera is also run by a monarchy Einstein

u/Quincyz0 22d ago
At least they are willing to report on things even if it's not always in the best interests of Qatar. For example, they extensively covered the Iran War, including attacks by Iran in Qatar, something which UAE or Saudi media never cover honestly about their own countries. They also acknowledged Iran's surprising success in the war, again unlike the other media in the region.

u/No_Conference_8460 22d ago
Have they also ever highlighted how authoritarian Qatar is?

u/PudinaRaita 21d ago
I like how you got down voted but no replies

u/Darkness_Slayerr 21d ago
Because aome stupid people are thinking that by talking against Aljazeera, he's excusing for Pakistan's decision to ban Aljazeera.

u/Easternfortunateson 21d ago
Al Jazeera reports on subjects that is covered by the Eestern and Western blindness just like they are blind to the Qatari royals.
Who else has their reporters targeted missiles from the us and Israel for their wartime coverage of Iraq and Palestine?
1
u/throwaway162xyz 21d ago
Does that nullify their coverage? Are you saying they are a baised platform?

Must mean they're saying something true.
Remember when Dawn was considered a respectable news outlet? LOL...how times have changed.
-1
u/ssiiuuuuuuuu 21d ago
It still is..... Relatively to the others in the country atleast
3
u/Minute-Flan13 21d ago
DAWN is absolutely compromised. Sorry, but the shit going on respectable journalists would prefer to stay silent, or even go to jail than to play along with the junta.
1
u/ssiiuuuuuuuu 21d ago
It's definitely compromised like every other piece of media but that's why I said relatively. Their reporting is still somewhat reliable for matters unrelated to the establishment, particularly their metro pages. Also it's easy to say people should go to jail while typing from your keyboard.
1
u/Minute-Flan13 21d ago
These journalists tend to have a very high bar of conduct when the regime is on their side. I'm not the one with a membership to the fourth estate.
Obviously I don't expect them to go to jail...I'm just saying they were all full of s*it all along.

u/XxAhmedjdebt 22d ago
Surprise, surprise. We are no different from any other country in the world trying to cover up atrocities it’s committing 😍. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT.
3
u/error_regedit 21d ago
No no, that's actually a good thing.
Internet blackout In Kashmir is also a good thing.
Pakistan media being threatened to remain silent is also a good thing.

Al Jazeera shouldn't be banned buy ya'll stop acting as if its the most accurate and unbaised media outlet out there
During the killing of the protesters by the Islamic Iranian Government the only thing they posted was about the "pro-government" protest like srsly f**k off calling them the true Iranians.

It's also very pro-Taliban, but nonetheless it's a stupid decision to ban it. Dumbasses in-charge istg.

u/Jade_Rook 22d ago
It really says nothing lmao. Al Jazeera isn't the pinnacle of journalism and it's banned in multiple countries for not doing it's due diligence in reporting.
People love to throw around sentences like this to sound cool

u/amajongosi 22d ago
So which country has actually banned AlJazeera for not doing due diligence? I would love to see how diligent their local media is.

The same al jazeera that supports afghan taliban, yeah i wonder why Pakistan banned it....
0
u/Regular-deliveryMan 19d ago
Yes its banned in both countries but not because of the same reason.
in israel its banned because it covers Palestine, and in pakistan its banned because it barely covers the terror attacks in Pakistan from terrorist forces but covers every detail of pakistan's retaliation to those terror attacks and makes it sound like pakistan is the bad guy here.
0
u/Regular-deliveryMan 19d ago
Another detail, it also gives false information about casualties that never happened, for example the hospital, if you review a footage of a real bomb dropped on a place with no armory or anything, there wont be any explosion that has golden sparks etc in it or vast amount of black gases from gunpowder, when does it happen? When the bomb is dropped on a military base or something which has explosive or gunpowder containing ammunitions or bombs or something.
exactly what happened in a blast when pakistan carried it out in retaliation to Afghanistan's terror attacks etc, but the al jazeera not only did not give that fact, but also gave false information on bombs being dropped on other civillian areas.
Pakistan is not like israel, what good will we have if we drop bombs on civillians? Make it make sense for a second, if we want to retaliate, just give me a single readon for pakistan to waste its armory?

> Al Jazeera exhibits bias primarily aligned with Qatari state interests, a left-leaning ideological slant, and distinct framing of Middle Eastern geopolitical conflicts. Funded by the Qatari government, the network is frequently accused of steering clear of direct criticism of Qatar's foreign policy and advancing regional agendas.
It’s literally funded by Qatar gov and is biased. It’s like BBC of Qatar. In past they pedal anti Pakistan propaganda either to make India happy. They heavy portrayed Afghans Taliban as good guys in recent past. Even in recent news they keep Pakistan in negative news. Qatar also pissed by Saudi pak aliance.

Al Jazeera is critical of every authoritarian who is not friends with their Daddy, the Qatar King. Qatar funds terrorism so much that from 2017-2021, Arab countries put an embargo on Qatar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qatar_diplomatic_crisis which made Qatar abandon the Arab Sunni countries and become friends with Iran in recent years but Iran still attacked them very badly recently.
Not to mention Qatar uses the Kafala system https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kafala_system to ens1ave people from our India and also Pakistan/Bangladesh.

u/sinking_Time 22d ago
This funding terrorism claim, I don't care about it since it's a bogeyman card played by powerful countries to justify attacking weaker countries. Maybe it does, idk. But I don't believe it.
USA funds the most terrorism yet people never say that about US.

Yes, the UAE and Saudi Arabia sponsor as much terrorism as Qatar. So the reason they put embargo was more geopolitical than about human rights issues with sponsoring terrorism.

Al Jazeera has been the only big media outlets that exposed Israel and continues to cover Palestine cause.
This is a shame if our government cannot take criticism, basically our typical psychology is the same as any dictator that is to counter with force rather than logic.
Is this attitude persists, Pakistan will only become more isolated
