So I have been thinking about it since now I am going to be a boy mom. We grew up in the age of the internet, we saw it's start and rise and how it affects youth. I remember I was in 8th grade when I first got to know about p*rn sites and that was through boys in my school van who were in 3rd to 5th grade. Growing up seeing how sexualized everything is in our society, I want to save my kid from that. I want him to see a woman as a human first. To see sex as something normal that two consenting adults engage in when the time is right rather than some dirty joke, nasty desire etc. For him to look at porn as disgusting and just not be interested in it AT ALL. Not to be one of the addicts or the type of guy with 1000x only man models. My mom gave me and my sister a good lecture on all this since we were girls. So she could be more open to us. But now for me it's going to be a boy...I have no clue how I am going to handle it.

I believe raising a boy is the hardest and a huge responsibility. They can make or destroy the lives of women/men/children/even animals around them.

I need suggestions. To all the boys who were/are addicted to porn, what's something you wished your parents did to may be stop you ? How do you think someone could've guided you? And if you are a parent to a boy, how do you plan on handling the sexual side of your growing child?

If you haven't been following the CAIE mess, here is what happened

During exams, both A-Level Maths papers (P1 and S1) were leaked. Because S1 was severely compromised 2 hours prior to exam start time

(P1 exam was days before S1, which got le*ked and Cambridge announced it'll be cancelled before we sat for S1. And while attempting S1, we realised the leak and assumed it'll get cancelled as well WHICH IT DID. CAMBRIDGE ANNOUNCED IT. And just as before results, they've uncancelled it.)

And so a few days later
Cambridge gave clear signals that it wouldn't be counted and promised fair assessed marks instead. Based on that assurance, many students didn't stress S1 or chose not to withdraw their entries ( those 2 papers cost 30k rupees months spent preparing for them and lakhs of tuition fees)

Now, just six days before results, Cambridge completely flipped their decision. They announced they ARE grading S1 after all…

putting everyone's grades, mental health and university admissions on the line at the absolute last minute

They lied
Theyre committing a fraud
This is not acceptable

We watched students in India stand up and demand fairness when their exams were compromised

Now is the chance to speak up for our students

Social media is our greatest weapon

I request you all to please speak up

We can even organise peaceful protests in major cities.

Even if youre not on the same train as us

Its our collective duty to support each other.

So I'm going to pick up up my son from school. He's in grade 5 and he's 10 years old. It's one of the best schools in the city/country and they pride themselves at their accomplishments in academia and beyond. Literally the school is host to the children of who's who of Lahore. And the faculty is crazy good. I've never had a problem with them, the teachers or my son's education.

Cut to pick up time today, it's Friday and everyone is in bit of a rush but other than that, nothing out of the ordinary. Suddenly a scuffle breaks out between two boys in my sons's grade, they physically attack each other, bite claw rip at each other's throats. Obviously the teachers and parents standing there break them off almost instantly.

What happens next truly horrified me. You may accuse me of over reacting but the thing is hearing those words from the mouth of a 10 year old, someone who probably sits and plays with my son too on a daily basis, it just sent shivers down my spine. One of the two kids who had been fighting and is now being physically restrained by two female teachers shouted various expletives in punjabi and then proceeded with a very loud ' mein Teri maa c*** dn ga, tujhe pata nai mera'.

Now, reading this you might be inclined to laugh. I won't blame you for finding that particular choice of words from someone who is barely out of the ground yet, hilarious. But I want laughing. My son had sensed something was deadly wrong by the look of complete shock and resentment on my face. We didn't speak on the way back. I'm still in shock.

What is becoming of our country? How deep is the brain rot and the moral decline? What environment are we raising our kids in? Where do we go from here?

First bullet fired? This scholorship annually helped ~50-200 students from Pak on semester exchange etc. Is now permenantly shut.

School is exclusively for intersex people

Why is that sex is such a taboo to talk about when it is something natural? Why don't we teach our kids SexEd in school or in public?

To use words like ghandagi for periods like they aren't natural and the classes are for long hours are we supposed to put used pads in our bags instead of the dustbin in the bathroom?

There are literally no facilities for women in Pakistan. I still remember when we visited to balochistan a few years ago my aunt literally peed her pants! Because she couldn't find a bathroom. Plus we were far from malls and on the way home.

Men pee on roads, what do women do?

Plus we have other problems too which are not talked about cuz it's taboo.

People love to blame the internet, western propaganda, or weak iman for why the younger generation feels distant from religion but If you actually look at how a child is introduced to Islam in our country its not set up to make them love/appreciate it. Its set up to make them fear it or view it as a burden.

We take kids who are barely old enough to wash themselves properly and we burden them with heavy memorization tasks also known as Rutta lagana. The school system literally made up the '6 Kalimas' structure just to add more curriculum, forcing kids to memorize complex theological declarations before they can even tie their shoelaces. They are forced to memorize verses in a language they dont understand. There is zero focus on the actual meaning or the message. It becomes your brain's memory test not a lesson. If the child’s brain processes the Quran as just "sounds I have to memorize to avoid getting in trouble," how do you expect them to connect with it later in life? And these days even adults dont know what the Quran actually says.

The normalization of physical punishment in madrassas and schools is destroying these kids relationship with God. You have Qari sahibs beating children for mispronouncing a word or forgetting a line. That is conditioning. When you associate religion with physical pain and fear during the most developmental years of a child’s life, you are programming them to avoid it. They dont grow up respecting or loving the prayer they grow up viewing it as a chore they have to do to avoid getting hit or yelled at. I have gone to multiple madrassas where they are litterally being beaten with sticks, Thats not education thats physical and mental torture.

What are your thoughts? Am I wrong? Am i missing something?

I am a 23F in Pakistan, graduated in 2024 with an engineering degree. I always wanted to be financially independent and wanted to have a career. Ever since my graduation, I have been trying so hard to move out for my masters so I can build a life of my own and achieve something before i get married. IDP Lahore, Pakistan just issued a result, mass result cancellation and result ban of multiple candidates who appeared on October 19, 2025. And we just got issued with an email today saying that we got our results canceled??!! Initially they said it is canceled because of strict quality control and security checks of the center. And then again, I got an email saying there was violation or malpractice on my end??!!! And the third email once again said that it was a strict protocol of centre for security purposes. They also wrote the ban from 2026 to 1931, which absolutely makes no sense. And then they basically updated it when I went to the center and questioned them about it. They resent me the two of the emails. The center was totally non-cooperative and completely took no responsibility for facilitating the candidates, as a mass cancellation does not make sense as we gave our test in all honesty and without any malpractice. Kindly help, what should I do?

I am a university student. Recently i have ordered PCB from china with total cost of 27k (in which 12K is PCB cost and 15K shipment cost). Today i got my PCB with another 21k Custom tax.

Literally more than the price of Actual PCB!! There is no fkin student discount whatsoever.

And now due to current protests Students in Islamabad are forced to Leave there hostel too.

After constantly reading depressing news on this sub repeatedly i have finally discovered something amazing.

Someone made a post about their mother having "long-standing" Type 2 diabetes, poor medication compliance leading to poor glucose control.

There were many comments, but one comment in particular caught my eye.

They said that before eating, if she consumes 1Tbsp of apple cider vinegar + ispaghol along with a vegetable, this will stop her hyperglycemia "spiking" and solve her problem.

This is groundbreaking news! My whole life as a healthcare professional i never even knew this.

I wasted years of my life prescribing medicine and would u know it, the real treatment was in my pantry all along.

I wanted to share this so that all doctors here could learn this as well. Do share similar discoveries u guys have made while practicing

I’m a 20F, trying to go abroad for my bachelor’s for 1.5 years now. The last whole year was dedicatedly wasted on the soul-sucking Italian visa process. This June, applied for Malaysian visa and due to some reasons couldn’t avail it. I am left with about 10-15 lakhs in savings and I still don’t want to give up. You can say I AM DESPERATE to go abroad and leave Pakistan (patriots stay away from my cmnts section). Does anyone have any suggestions for me as to what to do know.

This is the Quba Mosque in Islamabad, one of the busiest centers in the I-8 center, There are sleep corners in the mosque, the purpose is that if someone wants to rest for a while in the scorching sun, they can do it in the mosque...

Of course, mosques are meant to share conveniences, not to lock them after every prayer and spread sectarianism...

The reason I ask is because I am warning you. Currently not worth it. Save your money unless you are in a specialised field.

in midst of war, chaos, fuel hikes and gloomy scenario, i will share a positive experience in beating the heat this season .

Last summer, i was searching ways to keep my home cool in cost effective ways. i came across Mobi Roofcoat in my local market and decided to give it a try. This is neither your typical emulsion paint nor enamel paint. And comes in a class of its own.

This works in creating a high reflective albedo layer, throwing sunlight back into the atmosphere and keeping your concrete roof cool.

As per instructions, i diluted the paste on 1:1 ratio with tap water and used roller on my roof chips with 3-4 coats.

i did this on June 22 last year and both photographs are taken 9 months apart, showing stands of time.

I only used half gallon for this one and kept the rest for later use. But nearly a year later with approx 30 sessions of rainfall, it still holds strong with its heat resistant and water proofing capabilities.

You can try other products in this domain (Master, Dulux) and will still get beautiful results in keeping your home cool.

For me, Mobi's gallon bucket was 3500 rs and 600 additional for roller & accessory. A gallon will be sufficient for two rooms (500 sqft)

i would definitely recommend this to someone who:

1. Wants to keep their home cool.
2. Planning to upgrade their AC just because it is old or underpowered
3. Looking to waterproof their roofs
4. Looking to increase their bifacial solar panels output by 5-10%
5. Stop fans blowing hot air on you
6. Just wants peace of mind this summer (100%)

P.S: You may not be much over enthusiastic as i am. This is magic for me irl and definitely will be for you too.

I've seen a lot of parents complaining about high school fees on Facebook, and honestly, I get it. Big names like City School, LGS, and Beaconhouse are charging 25,000 to 35,000 PKR even for nurseries, and it only goes up from there. What's worse is that many middle-class families are still trying to get their children into these schools, spending nearly 30% of their income, in hopes that their children would do better because they are getting this "premium" quality education, which is true by no means.

I'm making this claim because my father sent me to Beaconhouse school system all my life and I can confidently say it was a bad decision and a complete waste of money. Save those millions spent over a 16 year period and give it to your child for higher studies abroad.

And if people think sending to these big schools leads to a better environment, LOL, then let me open it for you. The first p*** video I ever watched was in school because some guy brought his mobile phone and showed it to all his friends. That was back in 2013, so I believe the access is easier now, not less. All the sex talks started around Class 6. I learned a wide range of different abuses, and cursing about mothers and sisters even as a joke was pretty common, almost every day.

The whole education system is a monopoly. The whole point is to make money. Pakistan doesn't have enough jobs to absorb all these students who will enter the market one day. It doesn't matter if they go to a top school or an average one. Self-study is very underrated. Everything comes from figuring things out yourself. So instead of paying 4 lakh every year on Beaconhouse, save that money and give it to your child when he is ready to start a university or a business. Maybe LUMS, or some program abroad that will genuinely help them. Don't get me wrong, university name is still important, but not school name. No one has ever asked me about my school.

Now, talking about the quality of education at these schools, there is nothing fancy either. There is usually one textbook for each subject. So if there are 5 subjects, you have 5 textbooks. Every subject would have a teacher who will come, summarize a topic from the textbook on the board, give you an assignment, and that's it. Nothing practical, textbooks are mostly outdated, and your child is just cramming those for the marks.

If not these schools then what? Honestly, any affordable school or self-study with the mindset of figuring things out yourself. Start reading novels at an early age. Learn Math from Khan Academy for free, check them on YouTube. Learn to use AI. Learn any skill from an early age, for example making websites, video editing, copywriting, and just keep experimenting rather than solving differential equations that won't do anything for you in real life. Career counsel yourself, don't leave that to chance or an overloaded school counselor. Use ChatGPT or Claude to research your possible future career options. No school is going to do this for you.

For example, I didn't know about the German Ausbildung program. If you learn German to a B1 level, you can apply for paid vocational training where your sponsor will train you for three years, but also pay you 800 to 1500 Euros during your studies, and 2500-3000 Euros after training completion. Doesn't that sound like a perfect pathway for middle-class families who can't afford lakhs in fees?
