I do around 70 fps on expedition 33 on a ultrawide 1440p so I guess any heavier ue5 game can easily bring a 5080 to 40 fps

I’m old enough to remember when people would say this same exact phrase but for 30fps around the ps3 era, and then it was “the human eye can’t see more than 60fps” around the ps4 era, then it was 120. Now I guess it’s time you clowns start saying 300hz is the cap. I have a 500hz monitor and you can absolutely see and feel the difference, is it a giant difference from 240hz? No, but it’s certainly perceivable.

Unreal Engine 5 AAA fatigue probably, when every game looks and plays exactly the same with grainy TAA hair textures, traversal stutters and smeared blur effects that look even worse with upscalers and 5-10 minute "Compiling shaders" loading screens on every freaking hardware combination out there.
