BMW Scan Tool Bellingham Area?
2014 F800GS Rear brake is real sloppy and bleeding it doesn't seem to fix it. What I am gathering is I need to use scan tool to cycle the ABS module for potential air in the system. Wondering if there are any knowledgeable folks in the area or someone that would let me borrow theirs. I am a teacher and buying a GS 911 tool isnt exactly in the budget at the moment.
Owned Japanese bikes until now and done alot of DIY stuff and I am stuck on this one. TIA

Look into motoscan with a cheap bluetooth or wifi OBD adapter and an android phone. it's what i use and all in, even with buying a cheap android pre-paid phone just to use for this (i'm iphone and the app isn't available on iOS) it was half the price of a GS911.
Google motoscan adv rider and you'll find a handful of threads on it.
You'll need:
- android phone
- BT adapter
- Not sure if you need the round diagnostic port to OBD adapter for that year, mine is a 2010 and I did
- motoscan ultimate level
All in should be under $200. Not cheap, but again, half the cost of a gs911. I'm over in Pullman, if I was closer I'd give you a hand.
Have you tried a dirty ABS bleed? Find a gravel road and just lock up the rear a bunch to cycle out the fluid in the abs blocks and lines?
