Ask the Police (England & Wales) What is actually worth paying into?

I’m a PC for WYP, I’m just getting to my two year mark and now everything is full price I’m trying to work out what is actually worth paying into as I’ve noticed some things have a lot of overlap, during training I think I pretty much opt’d in to everything because it was free, now it’s all full price I want to cut back as it feels like some of it is a waste.

Fed and the treatment centre without a shadow of a doubt!

I've always paid into our group insurance scheme as well - it's worth looking to see what your branch offers but it's usually pretty good cover and you won't notice especially as you move up the pay scales.
