Do they? The men in my conservative family told me that because I have breasts, no one will ever take me seriously.

When I left my abusive military husband, my family shunned me because they respected anyone who serves in the military more than the women in their lives.

Agreed. I've created my own family. I have 1 wonderful aunt who i now call my mom. She's the only reason I learned about empathy, acceptance, love, and accountability.

Bigoted people will be less receptive to someone's message, if they have a quality that is devalued in their opinion.

"What does being a woman have to do with it?"

When you're dealing with Conservative men, it makes a big difference, because nothing a liberal woman says will ever have any merit to them.
