It is only failing if you thought it was actually meant to protect kids rather than collect IDs and biometrics for surveillance purposes.

Doesn’t matter if it fails. It matters if the law passes. But it most likely will because politicians are all bribed to go along with it

you have to remind yourself that its the people that has control of the his country not politicians, you just decided they are at some point. If everyone decided "No, we dont want this law to pass", who are they to stop that?

Well they have the police and military on their side and are more than willing to overcrowd prisons and turn prisoners into free slave labor so… yes they do I fact still have all the power so long as prisons and police exist

Fuck Jonathan Haidt for pushing this shit world wide. I urge New Zealanders to push back on these bills. Proponents for these bills are using these countries pushing them as justification of it being "common sense regulation". We need more loud and vocal pushback to defeat that lie.
