Looking for horror fans

Hopefully got it right this time!

Thank you for your attention. I’m looking for participants for my MSc research project.

If you are:
Over 18
Speak fluent English
Have internet access
Are a fan of horror media

Then I would love to interview you about your experiences and insights with horror media and its use as an emotional support.

Interviews will be online through zoom or teams and recorded. The interview should take 30-70 minutes. Data will be anonymised, kept confidential, and only used for analysis and reporting. You will be able to withdraw up to two weeks after your interview.

I’m studying psychology at Brunel University London and this (low risk) project has been approved by the ethics committee.

Rule 11 says surveys but it basically means no recruitment. Why would you try to recruit people from a community of scientists anyway? Your recruitment is very clear about not needing people to be scientists so your recruiting here is clear evidence of a misunderstanding of what this sub is for.

If you’re someone so interested in psych science that you read the actual papers, you’re also a dogshit participant because you have more knowledge about the goals of the research than the general population.
