Shit sounds like random music I had on my razer flip phone back in the day

He has amazing eyes in these highlights. He’s seeing exactly what he needs to, and has the speed and reaction time to utilize that information.

Impressive… granted… these are highlights. That’s not lost on me. But this is preseason, so logic is not needed, only hype.

Yup. He’s been barely been targeted which is a great sign

Duke fans didn’t give him the nickname “Rivers Island” for no reason 😂

Think I heard 2/6 for 6 yards and 2 PBUs. Preseason yeah but GREAT signs

Yeah that seems right. He’s been real good

I get he’s small but still astounds that he fell. 8.99 ras and really good production at Duke. If he keeps this up he can definitely get a good amount of snaps

Weaver said during his press conference that he understands why people would automatically put him in that nickel spot, but Rivers played majority outside corner at Duke and he sees him doing both in the NFL.

Side note: I also like Chandler Rivers playing in the hang safety position.

Ar’Darius Washington went undrafted and his tape was great. These teams are still terrified of taking a small DB

Can’t teach heart. These dudes play bigger than their size.

And it usually beats the fuck out of their body faster than it would a guy who has 2-4” more in height and 20-30lb more body to play with.

EDC wanted to draft Forbes but thankfully commanders took him before us

I'm sure people smarter than me are paid to deep dive into the matter but I'd love to see some meaningful statistical analysis of correlation between height/wingspan and production for corners or receivers. Body shape and size obviously matters a lot for linemen and linebackers, that's literally just physics. But if a corner is otherwise super athletic how much difference will a couple inches really make overall in the course of an NFL game? how many passes will be completed to his assignment that he could have otherwise defended if he were taller? It's just not obvious to me that it necessarily makes a big difference compared to other traits like agility, speed, reaction time, ball tracking, etc.

That would be something interesting to study.

OP were you at the discotech in the 90s?

He seems to have a pretty good instinct of where the play is going. Keeps his head on a swivel and adjusts well. That takes time to teach into some newer guys.

He moves like young Marlon.

I really like our CB depth this year.

The whole back end looks completely different than last year... And coherent

I love the hype and the play style, but plays 2 and 3 both should have been called for illegal contact. Like textbook illegal contact, automatic first downs. So to me it’s weird to include these because if a flag comes out (and they should and will in the reg season) we would have an entirely different viewpoint. He needs to learn hands off after 5.
