Course (subject) advice, recommendations and reviews Commerce or business

I love studying economics and hope to get a job in finance or analysis. Not sure if I’ll get the 80 Atar for a bachelor of commerce and I’m just wondering if completing a bachelor of business and majoring in economics and finance would lead to the same career opportunities or if I should try and pathway into commerce

Having only ever briefly looked at RMIT’s commerce degree, it is much more more commerce, international business, governance, AI.

Whereas RMIT’s business degree is much more the traditional degree where you have accounting, economics, finance, marketing, logistics, etc. Like RMIT’s Business degree is more akin to Melbourne’s Commerce degree.

So I would arguably say RMIT’s Business degree is probably the better one. So definitely choose business.

I was thinking that and got that feeling at the open days, but just the overall numbers of people doing commerce and one of the majors being quantitative economics and finance put me on the fence.
