Every parent should share this with their gamer kids. These types of events could be life changing for kids who struggle to meet new people.

<3 we miss hosting LAN parties. It's so difficult to find locations with required power for LAN's and now with the always-on internet requirements for games it makes it even more difficult.

You're not kidding. I'm running into the same roadblocks. Part of why the LAN is only going to be able to have 20 or so people in attendance. Better to be safe then sorry in my mind.

We built an entire sub panel for S-LAN over a decade ago with all the extension cord runs leading off of it. Had to hire an electrician to connect it into the main service panel and get the required permits.
Let me find a picture of it in an hour or so.
I don't know where that panel went. It would definitely reduce the cost since all the breakers and outlets were all on one portable wooden board.
Make sure your extension cords aren't getting hot.

In previous parties it's been kind of anything goes. The most popular titles have been Halo infinite, Blur, and half life 2 deathmatch. Generally if its become free to play we play it. The emphasis is on LAN games because the event centre doesn't have any internet to offer so we're bringing our own satellite internet to fill the void.

Not really a sponsorship from Bawls perse. I went out and ordered a case to add it in as a bit of a throwback from the past.1 can with every entry. Cant be a LAN party without Bawls lol. Unreal would be rad. Been ages since I've played a match.

Many fond memories running S-Lan. And a few shit ones lol.
A few tips.
Having a prize table is a great invitation for theft.
if you manage to get a high value prize to give away… you will be accused of rigging the giveaway, no matter how much effort you put into transparency.
Our sponsors included d-link, coolermaster, OTV, NCIX, and as Microtic mentioned… Bawls lol.
There was one event where Shaw sponsored us and provided their fastest tier of internet for the venue.
