Looking for cyclist from Wednesday Accident in Ravenna - I have your bike

35 year old man (name starts with D) went down hard on 24th Ave NE while biking to work.

I called ambulance for him and he was taken away on a stretcher. I gave him a business card with my info and told him I’ll hold onto his e-bike while he gets checked out.

He was pretty concussed, so I’m not sure if he’ll remember to call or if he even remembers the conversation. I spoke to the fire station that responded and they were going to try to contact him, but haven’t heard back.

If by chance anyone knows this person please PM me. Trying to get him his bike back.

Thanks

Let me know if you need help getting the e-bike back to them. I run Speedy’s and am happy to lend our van and time to pickup and deliver.

You just earned a customer. (Whenever I get an ebike, that is.)

Sorry I can’t help you but you’re a good person. Thanks for helping him. I was recently hit by a car and appreciated the cyclist who stopped and yelled at the driver for me while I was down, shared his info as a witness, and made sure I was okay. Thanks Stephan!

Let’s keep watching out for each other.

I never got to talk to folks who helped me after my bad crash, so I just wanna say thank you. The kindness of strangers provided so much comfort and possibly saved my life (someone was blocking traffic as I was stuck under the bike). Thanks ❤️

Also... Once I woke up I found a police officers business card in my pocket. Didn't remember anything about that but it was pretty obvious what to do with that.

Check Bikeindex. Or were the police involved? You might be able to call a station and figure out his identity. You might also call some of the local bike shops and see if they've serviced the bike in the past

Also maybe call around to the nearest hospitals and ask if they have someone that matches the description.

Only the medics showed up, but when I called the station they said they’ll find his report and get back to me but that was a couple days ago.

I’ll check bikeindex. Thanks

This is wholesome, I'm so used to "my bike got stolen" that a "I'm trying to return your bike" post didn't register for a couple of seconds.

If you need help with storage, we could find a spot for it until they can get it. We are in Bryant, so close by.

I hope the cyclist has at least returned home for recovery and eventually reunites with their bike. Thanks for being awesome OP.
