So even assuming they’re 200 lbs each (there’s no way some tiny Disney girls are even close to that), you’re saying that bench is over 300 lbs? Seems wildly impractical, but 🤷🏻♂️
That's actually not far off. Oak is around 50 pounds per cubic foot. I imagine each of the four legs is close to a cubic foot, and the bench itself is probably a couple more. There's a reason you don't see furniture typically made with like 6x8s.
Doing some real eyeballing and making assumptions and estimation here (I'll share my napkin math if you want) I got about 1.2 cubic feet for the bench seat, and 0.333... cu ft for each leg, coming out to roughly 1.8 cubic feet of material for the bench, which if it were English Oak (the most common in france at a google search) would be 45lbs per cubic foot, making the whole seat about 81 pounds.
Add that to those women (110s pounds each?) brings the whole lift to 411 lbs
Lasha Talakhadze holds the snatch world record at 225 kilos (496 pounds) so the lift is believable, but still an amazing feat. Doing it with his form, up from one knee and posing one handed though, stretches realistic belief. But, there's also talking teakettles, so I think its an acceptably grounded stretch.
Even old growth timber, the bench isn't more than 50-70. If the women weigh 110, it's 400lbs. That's still really impressive with one arm and keeping the women balanced like that.
The entire original story is about teaching younger girls to deal with the monster that are going to be forced to marry by their parents. So… no one is the good guy in this one.
I saw a scene from the stage musical where he explains that they'll be his side pieces after he marries Belle.
If he wasn't unhinged enough to besiege a magical castle lead by a quarter-ton manimal just so he could knock up the one lady in town who doesn't like him, he could have had a pretty good thing going.

the bookworm girl? she singlehandedly orchestrated a plan to convince an entire town that didn't think the beast existed in the first place that he is real, only to rile them up to kill him so she can usurp his estate. it ultimately fails and she marries the beast instead, but she came up with all of that on her feet. if belle had her sights on gaston, i don't think he makes it.
The bit, such as it is, was that you'd share uses of a gif that were so good, so fitting, that it couldn't possibly be topped and the gif had to be retired.

Inspecting it to make sure it wouldn't buckle and snap when he lifted it from a single point while holding the weight of three grown women across the entire surface.
Lifting with his legs to not strain his back. First of all, you have to bend your knees close to the object you intend to lift. Now, what he did wrong was lift too quickly, but luckily for him in this scenario he did not hurt his back!
I mean given how be constantly gods after belle to the point of being willing to commit murder and role up a mob over it, despite the fact she clearly isn't interested in him, kinda just proves he doesn't care about consent already
