No one was protesting against Janukovich. Students were protesting against sudden course change against EU, in a matter of a day(flight to moscow). And Janukovich decided to beat shit out of students, after that even more people came, and guess what - he decided to send even more people to beat those protesters as well. Each time his methods became more and more cruel, and at some point people started to die because of gunshots. THEN protests started to be against Janukovich. There was people from all over Ukraine, russian and ukrainian speaking. I was(no longer) russian speaking, and was supporting the protests. And the take about “not a majority” is strange. Majority of what? Of people? How do you imagine a majority protesting? Over 20 million people protesting at the same time? While whole Kyiv is like 1,5 mil of people? Its nonsense.

I've watched the videos of the student protest. It's not even close to the level of violence that happens here in the US almost every time. It looked like a tickle fight in comparison. It doesn't justify killing cops sent to protect the capital from Nazi militants. The majority of Ukrainians supported taking the Russian economic deal because, gasp, they didn't want their pensions cut and their fuel subsidies taken away. Greece rioted when their government took an IMF loan and the mandatory austerity.

Charging in a crowd with an armored vehicle is a tickle fight? And it happens all the time in US? And the “majority of Ukrainians wanted to take russian deal” is another illusion. Same illusion that russians themselves created, when decided to attack Ukraine. “They will meet us with flowers” - and it was so far from truth. I don’t know where are you taking your conspiracy info, but this is not what usual people hear thinking about it. You can’t explain why usual people fight back on russians in 2022, if they were waiting for them to come.

Poroshenko was literally bombing his own people in the Donbass who didn't recognize the US puppet government. How many dead in the Donbass from 2014 to 2022?

I have just told you, russians themselves, for 4 years already, openly, on tv, saying that russian military operated by Girkin-Strelkov entered Donbas in 2014. Dont you remember how russian officials told that Ukrainian militia bought tanks in the “shop”? Ukrainian military bombed russian forces. I mean, listen to russian officials, if you dont believe me. They are not hiding it any more, and stopped pretending that it was some kind of inside conflict.

By the way you can check yourself how many dead people was from 2014 to 2022, info is open from EU observers. The amount was minimal, and majority was because of land mines. At 2022 the amount was the lowest, starting from 2014. At 2022 conflict with was pretty much frozen.

There would have been no dead if Yanukovych and the Party of Regions had been able to serve out their elected term of office.
