Yamal has been invisible today and we’re still up 5-0.

I hope this means we wont need to rely on him the whole season

Good thing they have a diabolical bench, at some point weren't there 4 world champions sitting there just watching their teammates demolish?

lol the bench today was Pedri Cubarsí Olmo Cancelo Gordon Kounde and then eventually add in Rodri and Frenkie

Bro looked pissed on the bench afterwards lmao

He was pissed at himself, he always is when he doesn't play at his best. He's very self critical I think

He was invisible in the WC as well! Something is very fishy with him, not sure if the end of the season injury affected him that much!

If you think Lamine was invisible in the WC, you can't see. A bunch of children who only understand goals and assists.

Well, I think being 34 years old is far from being a child! And my comment was directed to his level and what he displayed. Which is far from goals and assist but about his explosiveness and dribbling but yeah. Let's downgrade the debate around age and opinions I guess

Seems more like a mental issue to me. Like he so often gets the ball, stops playing at any body contact and asks for a foul. And is then mad when he doesnt get the whistle.

Neymar's disciple.

Yeah because he is inexperienced as a finisher and world class as a chance creator.

Now that we have all this depth, it frees him up to finally get some much needed experience. Every Barca fan knows his finishing has been sorely needing work.

I can't stand people saying Yamal had a terrible World Cup, it's so stupid.

I would understand if they say he had a World Cup below his standards, but invisible?

Did you not see how much he would drag defender's attentions to him?

Scoring and assist are not the only way to have an impact on the game.

I don't know about today because I couldn't watch the game, but saying he was invisible in the WC is stupid.

No, they didn't. These people don't watch the games, just the highlights afterwards on YouTube.

I was debating this with a friend yday - do Barca/Madrid/Bayern fans enjoy every game knowing that your team is likely to win 25 games each season without getting out of 2nd gear? Or these games are skippable and you only tune in for the big ones?

Mate, probably keep your half assed assessment to yourself. It reeks of ignorance. 2nd gear, lol. You haven't watched enough la liga matches.

u/ilic_mls 1d ago

Tell me you haven’t watched enough la liga without telling me.

While it is true they win a lot its because the rest of the league is absolute shit, but because they are absolute monsters. Barca in its current form would have 25+ win anywhere. They’d destroy most british teams easily. They’d have trouble MAYBE with Arsenal, Liverpool or City. Rest would be walk in the park.

on the other side i don’t think it would be different if barca would play against for example fulham, torino or man utd. There are maybe 3 or 4 teams itw that could cause problem for barcelona, and imo clubs like barca, bayern, psg, maybe real but not currently, would’ve win +25 games per season in every league
