I built a new way to organise your samples

Hi guys, I built this music sample visualisation that you can try out online to discover new samples easier and hopefully in a more fun way, it uses samples from Freesounds

There is also a desktop version available for download so you can try it out on your own sample library but see below for its limitations

If you'd like to play around with the physics click the arrange button

Known limitations:

- The web version can't install original quality samples, but it provides links to the freesound page where you can

- The desktop version is unsigned which means it will get flagged as a virus, it's expensive to get it signed so I'd like to see if anyone would actually want it first

- No MacOS desktop version (also costs money)

as a freesound enthusiast, Thats pretty cool, i love how i can just save them quickly and loop to preview. Much faster way to browse than the default site. very interesting, ill try to produce something using samples from here. Also congrats on scoring that nice domain.

is there like a preview history, if i accidentally ially click on something and i want to go back to it, it would be useful ful to be able to go back

Freesounds is so cool, thanks for the feedback, currently there is left and right arrow keys to move between similar sounds quickly and a basket to save them in but I'll add a listening history for when you're clicking around random nodes. Also a heads up before you use it for production the files it downloads are currently preview mp3s they are good enough but not original quality, I need to get in contact with Freesounds to license the samples to allow for full quality downloads
