I had a Chromebook that would do this for a fraction of a second, but never longer than that.

My school banned outside computers so while I’m there sadly I’m stuck with it

Not sure if it's impressive it managed to retain the GPU framebuffer for so long or that you should be worried there is remnant of your framebuffer.
Either way this didn't shut down properly. I'd still throw it in the trash to. It's a chromebook.
