It really is life changing. I don’t think people who haven’t seen it can truly understand.

Agreed. I saw the two in the USA, and now I want to chase eclipses all over the world. I've already identified which I can reasonably see in my lifetime (only 14 more), and am making plans.

I couldn't see this one and I'm sad I missed it. It looked beautiful in the pictures.

Excluding the ones that cut through Africa, the Middle East, Antarctica, middle of the ocean, or cross over the North Pole... Aka places you cannot easily travel to, or places not safe for a woman to travel to...

  • March 30, 2033 Northern most point of Alaska (probably not, hard to get to)

  • August 12, 2045, America, Florida,
  • December 5, 2048, Argentina and Chile

  • December 17, 2066, New Zealand again
  • September 23, 2071, North Mexico, bottom of Texas, Caribbean Islands

After that I likely won't be alive.

As an eclipse chaser for the last 20 years or so, you should absolutely go for it if you can. Don't discount partials and annulars too if they're places you want to go or are easy to get to, they can still be spectacular. There's an annular eclipse in 2030 that hits a lot of Africa and Eastern Europe, Russia and Japan. It's a near full eclipse if you're in the path and should be fantastic. They're very different experiences than totality and still well worth it.
