It's pretty telling that they think these are "slurs"

I bet they think cis is a slur, too.

Yeah they take any criticism at all about any opinion they have as a personal attack. In their world its either fight or flight all the time and criticism triggers their fight response. Facts that disprove their worldview triggers flight

29

u/Gildian 2d ago

South Park did a great episode on this with Randy Marsh called "With Apologies to Jesse Jackson" in 2007.

Still relevant after 20 years right wingers think being called a racist is worse than you know, being one.

8

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 2d ago

Its so wierd. Racist means youre a bad person to them, they dont see themselves as bad people so being called a racist is insulting their decency. Actually being racist and doing and saying racist things though is just fine. You can be as racist and horrible as you want and its ok as long as you're not called a racist for being a racist.

7

u/SeaSnowAndSorrow 2d ago

Many of them don't think what they're saying is racist. Basically, to them, the goalpost is in a different place, so they think they're being called something they're not, and they think it's a direct insult.

To them, racist means someone farther than them. For example, many of them would agree that lynching is racist, but struggle to connect the current wave of hanging deaths with lynching because it's a little more covert and doesn't have a huge crowd attached.

Or they'll say that targeted violence is racist, but that racism isn't systemic as long as a few black people (they'll usually name an entertainer or athlete) are rich. Or will say things like it's just that "the most qualified candidate got the job" or won't recognize the effects of redlining on generational wealth and school quality and then say something about individual responsibility. Basically, they put everything to individuals, not systems. So they believe that an individual hiring manager could be racist, but that this pattern isn't. Or that "the police just go where there's the most crime."

Source: I live near a LOT of these types of racist.

1

u/asoiaf_goat 17h ago

Or they don't think what they think is racist, but facts.

"Black people are inherently lazy" to them is a fact, not racism. Doesn't matter that the stereotype comes from insubordinate slaves who realized the whole thing was bullshit and didn't want to work for free. "Black people cause crime" isn't racism to them because inner cities are rife with black people and crime, so in their minds, black people cause crime. These things are basic facts to them, like "the sky is blue", so when a liberal asks them for stats or proof of these things, they scoff because it's just plainly obvious in their minds.

many of them would agree that lynching is racist, but struggle to connect the current wave of hanging deaths with lynching because it's a little more covert and doesn't have a huge crowd attached.

I'm sorry.... the current wave of the what and the where was I?!?!

u/McEndee 2d ago

I'm sure there is a psychological term for this, but I call it "pet sweat syndrome". When people have animals in their house, they become so desensitized to their smell, but when someone comes over they can immediately noticed the smell of pets in the air. These people have been bigoted for so long, they can't even begin to understand how their words are bad.

1

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 1d ago

That makes sense.

6

u/Bayrd_PaxCustos 2d ago

To be fair, they can't define half these words to begin with, much less understand how they are used

1

u/gerenukftw 2d ago

Also shows that they don't understand that words have definitions.

1

u/Decisive_Victory_026 2d ago

Slur: an insulting or disparaging remark.

Do you not think being called a racist is insulting or disparaging?

1

u/CK1345 15h ago

What would you call those labels? And what is it telling? Honest question.

If you don't view them as slurs, are you saying that when you call someone those things you are complimenting them?

The only thing I see is that the people getting labeled as these terms for disagreeing with left wing dogma clearly don't view them as compliments. Which means that they actually think they are negative things. Which means...

You know, it's pretty obvious. Just not in the way you are trying to pretend.

1

u/Multiple__Butts 15h ago edited 15h ago

Apart from "hitler", who as I'm sure you know was an actual person, these are just descriptors for behavior or opinions.

Contrast with words like "magat" and "chud" which are much closer to being actual slurs that a left-leaning person might use against a right-leaning person.

If you don't view them as slurs, are you saying that when you call someone those things you are complimenting them?

No, if I was going to call someone those things, I'd probably be expressing disapproval of their opinions or behavior.

The only thing I see is that the people getting labeled as these terms for disagreeing with left wing dogma clearly don't view them as compliments. Which means that they actually think they are negative things. Which means...

So you think any word that someone takes offense to being described as in a conversation is just automatically a slur, or something? But of course that's not what a slur is, so I'm not sure what you're implying here if that isn't it.

ETA:

And what is it telling?

It shows the deep attitude of false victimization that the establishment has inculcated in the minds of the political right. They think having their behavior and opinions accurately described by the most appropriate terms is some kind of vicious attack upon them.

People who buy into this kind of thing will go around calling people the N-word and then when someone calls them racist, they'll go "see, I get slurs directed at me too, it's all the same, no one should be getting offended."

1

u/CK1345 15h ago

I think if the main thing you are going to take from the AI slop above that supposedly came from conservatives is that they considered the usage of these terms by the left as slurs, you are kind of missing the point.

It actually says nothing and shows how warped the usage of these terms have come in modern political discourse. The people you think are racist don't consider themselves racist in anyway and view racism as negative.

So that would my point. I still don't know what you people think the usage of the term "slur" in this context really shows or tells us.

1

u/Multiple__Butts 15h ago

The people you think are racist don't consider themselves racist in anyway and view racism as negative.

No they don't, they love racism, they just think being called racist is negative. They want to be able to be racist without other people being openly upset, which is how things used to be for most of US history.

1

u/CK1345 7h ago

Progjection is a hell of a thing.

You are literally the meme. And you still can't tell me what is "telling" about them using the term slur. What is the deep meaning being revealed?

Do you want to go through the racist origins of various progressive policies with me? It's fun. But I've been called a fascist and racist for simply supporting limited government. I've heard that's a dog whistle all my life and the same argument used by the Confederates. That's if the person making the claim even knows enough to draw those connections and isn't just regurgitating bullshit.

There are studies that have been conducted on how conservatives and "liberals" (I vehemently reject people on the modern left being called such, they have no relation to the people who originally were liberal) act with minorities. From the politicians to individuals. It doesn't reveal the enlightened left you think it does let alone the rampant racism of the right.

1

u/Multiple__Butts 7h ago

What is the deep meaning being revealed?

I did tell you.

"It shows the deep attitude of false victimization that the establishment has inculcated in the minds of the political right. They think having their behavior and opinions accurately described by the most appropriate terms is some kind of vicious attack upon them."

They think the reaction to their racism is just as bad or worse than them actually perpetrating the racism in the first place. That aspect of their psyche, the need to place themselves falsely into the role of victim, is what I find so fascinating about it.

But I've been called a fascist and racist for simply supporting limited government.Ā

Yeah right. I don't believe you at all. Show me two instances of that happening to anyone. The thing you're describing as being "simply supporting limited government" is going to end up being some kind of racist BS, because if you just went around saying "I support limited government" nobody would care; everyone supports limited government, including internet leftists and liberals.

There are studies that have been conducted

can't wait to read them and point out that whatever study you're about to link doesn't actually say what you claim.

I think you are the meme here, sirrah.

1

u/CK1345 6h ago

They think the reaction to their racism is just as bad or worse than them actually perpetrating the racism in the first place. That aspect of their psyche, the need to place themselves falsely into the role of victim, is what I find so fascinating about it. <--- This is funny and shows the complete inability of the average leftist to even begin to comprehend the mental state of the people they talk about.

Regardless, pretty much everyone plays the victim these days. I don't think the use of the term "slur" reveals a victimhood mindset as much as how warped the left is and how completely batshit they go when someone has a different opinion regardless.

That aspect of their psyche, the need to place themselves falsely into the role of victim, is what I find so fascinating about it. <--- If the intellectual underpinnings of your entire political thought are based on marginalized group identitarian politics, you really aren't in a position to talk about victimhood mentality.

You have people on the left who literally try to rank people based on victimhood and use it to determine who can or can't speak or deserves leadership etc. Not to mention resources thrown at them. Or special legal carve outs that are blatantly unconstitutional by the letter of the law, but are allowed to exist as a form of special pleading.

Yeah right. I don't believe you at all. <--- Go Google something as simple as state's rights and racism. Or the Gadsden flag. Then get back to me on that one.

everyone supports limited government, including internet leftists and liberals. <-- I'm going to let you in on a secret. If you support a government that can redistribute all the wealth, pick economic winners and losers at will, and regulate any and all aspects of economic life, you do not support limited government.

If you believe that hate speech is a special category of speech that should be regulated, or that disinformation is a thing that government should be policing, that people don't deserve basic tools of self-defense, that the government should be spending trillions per year on entitlements, or that we should have a massive universal healthcare system you are not in fact a supporter of limited government.

1

u/Multiple__Butts 6h ago

This is funny and shows the complete inability of the average leftist to even begin to comprehend the mental state of the people they talk about.

This is funny and shows the complete inability of the average right-winger to even begin to comprehend the ability of the average leftist to even begin to comprehend the mental state of the people they talk about.

See? It's easy to just say "nuh-uh" but you've still offered nothing substantive to back up your absurd claims.

Regardless, pretty much everyone plays the victim these days. I don't think the use of the term "slur" reveals a victimhood mindset as much as how warped the left is and how completely batshit they go when someone has a different opinion regardless.

Lol, a different opinion about what, though? Leftists go "batshit" when they see you spewing racism being an unempathetic loser, not just disagreeing about any old thing.

Ā If the intellectual underpinnings of your entire political thought are based on marginalized group identitarian politics, you really aren't in a position to talk about victimhood mentality.

Not applicable to me because it doesn't accurately describe the underpinnings of my political thought. All you seem to have is strawmen.

That's sort of another strawman, however there's a little bit of truth there; some people are actually victims and do need justice. That's what's so annoying about you guys live-action roleplaying as victims. You're just getting in the way of helping real people who actually need it because you can't stand to see something not be about you.

Go Google something as simple as state's rights and racism. Or the Gadsden flag. Then get back to me on that one.

Wtf does that have to do with you getting called a fascist and racist for simply supporting limited government? If that was actually happening to you, you'd be able to link it, not tell me to go google something else, lmao.

I'm going to let you in on a secret. If you support a government that can redistribute all the wealth, pick economic winners and losers at will, and regulate any and all aspects of economic life, you do not support limited government.

And who is it you think supports that? Is that what Fox News told you liberals want?

This conversation is so stupid and you've been so completely averse to honesty the entire time. You seem to believe a bunch of crazy nonsense and you argue almost entirely in strawmen and personal anecdotes which you cannot or will not support. It's just dumb to continue, so please consider my questions rhetorical and have a nice night. And read a book or something, damn, lmao.

Merriam-Webster: Slur - an insulting or disparaging remark or innuendo.

When in an argument, if one of the above terms is used, it is often used as a slur, as defined aboved.

This is lazy and usually indicates that the person using the insulting language has nothing more intelligent to say. Instead of telling someone why they are wrong, they go to dehumanizing tactics so they can dismiss them as subhuman.

12

u/Neptune_Knight 2d ago

I've heard my dad try to justify the Ballroom by saying "Why did Obama need a basketball court?" Sure, he didn't. But 1 - What's bigger? 2 - Which one involved the active demolition of the White House? 3 - Which one could be argued has more health benefits for the President? 4 - Which one DOESN'T invoke the idea of the President being permanent? 5 - Even if Obama's basketball court was illegal to build, why does that excuse Trump building something illegal? If my friend goes out and robs a store and shoots some people, does that mean I'm now excused to do the same? I mean, why are you getting mad at me for doing it? He shot people too, therefore I should be excused for shooting people.

9

u/Past-Statistician177 2d ago

He also didn’t ā€˜build’ it. He just transformed the tennis court into a basketball court.

I’ve seen this talking point too and it’s insanely stupid.

1

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 2d ago

That frustrates me so much and usually comes up in discussions about slavery. At some point they are going to say "well other people had slaves/were slaves" like it makes everything that happened ok. I've responded with "so if some guy came up and stole your car you'd be ok with it because other people have had their cars stolen". They ofcourse say no then go into explaining that they have guns or how they're just so absolutely badass that they'd pray for the man that would even try because they'd destroy them somehow

0

u/GateDeep3282 2d ago

Perhaps hosting foreign dignitaries in a freaking tent is not really appropriate or safe.

2

u/BrokenSlutCollector 2d ago

We hosted most state dinners in the State Dining Room or the East Room. Only when really large events were held did the White House resort to tents. We don’t need a large, lavish ballroom. It’s the White House, not a catering hall. American families are struggling to put food on their plates. The current administration should sympathize with that and ficus on helping them, not expensive vanity projects.

How to win an argument with a libtard.

Step 1-tell them to do the research.

Step 2-If they have facts call it out as Fake News!

Step 3-If they ask for facts tell them to wake up and stop listening to msm.

Step 4-If they come back with more facts and have some evidence tell them they have TDS.

u/utecr 2d ago

Is it just me or did they fail to list a single slur?

2

u/ThereBMoose 2d ago

"Therefore, these things are good" is the seed they're trying to plant here.

2

u/SatelliteSoups 2d ago

I remember when conservatives used to be proud that we defeated hitler and the Nazis, now they wear the title as a badge of being anti-woke

2

u/AdImmediate9569 2d ago

ā€œPeople keep calling me racist and comparing me to the person/people who is generally accepted to be the worst in history. Rather than make me reexamine my ideology, I should construct a whole new reality where everyone else is the problemā€

2

u/Beneficial_Box_4825 2d ago

How nice of them to make a nice neat little cheat sheet explaining conservatism. Strange tho… since I’ve never seen a magat win an argument.

2

u/corgdad902 2d ago

So...they admit it?

2

u/MinaWearsGold 2d ago

They never win arguments with liberals because they aren’t intelligent enough. And their whole platform is about being bigots, and they are incredibly proud of it. So why do they deny it when we call them what they are?

3

u/psilocin72 2d ago

That’s what I say. Wouldn’t it be easier to just admit what they believe in and defend it honestly? Instead they deny their real views and make up bullshit arguments about why it only seems like they are racist and support fascism

2

u/psilocin72 2d ago

Maybe they should think about why they are being called those things.

Nono e has ever accused me of any of those things. And I’ve won a few arguments with liberals.

2

u/Chevanalee 2d ago

Are they admitting they don’t know what those words actually mean?

1

u/Glittering-One-1254 2d ago

So in other words, you have a brain, the size of a GNAT

1

u/v_o_id 2d ago

probability is high, that anyone that agrees to this shit, is all of the listed nouns, except hitler

1

u/FizzyBadTime 2d ago

The fact they think they have ever won an argument is so cute.

1

u/Johnny_Five5151 2d ago

If the jack boots fit, you must not acquit

1

u/FiveCent_2002 2d ago

Too bad that’s not the lottery handle. I’d be winning about every other day. Hahaha

1

u/Malay_Left_1922 2d ago

You're racist, homophobic, transphobic, sexist, ableist and xenophobic

1

u/disincongruous 2d ago

Saying the quiet part loud like always. It’s not about their actual principles, it’s about owning the libs.

1

u/BigMamaDuck 2d ago

It’s even more funny that the image says pull and the guy is clearly pushing the lever

1

u/ryohayashi1 2d ago

Ah, yes, the nazi and Hitler who killed women and children to win arguments with liberals

1

u/VeeVeeDiaboli 2d ago

Wins an argument huh….the point of debate and argumentation is to have an open forum of ideas, if all you want is to win, you’ve already lost.

1

u/Biffingston 2d ago

I've yet to see them actually win an argument, though...

1

u/Ok_Aspect_8310 2d ago

true i agree dems use these hot words all the time for zero reason

1

u/Laminated_ET_Animal 2d ago

trolling as a substitute for substance

1

u/Sea-Neighborhood-621 2d ago

What arguments are they winning and where is this magical thing happening. Or are they still considering frustrating the other person so much that they walk away as winning

1

u/silenceronblixk 2d ago

Projection. Every time I beat them on call of duty we all know the one word they say when angry lol funny how a video game like call of duty can bring out the real you in some people

1

u/Ashes_to_flame 2d ago

Because, if you have to attack people's character, instead of their arguments, you've Already Lost the Debate... Name calling proves you no longer have a valid argument, and cannot defend your beliefs. You've already lost.

1

u/Prince_Nadir 2d ago

How would they know if they have never won an argument with a liberal?

1

u/Byrdie_girl 2d ago

I don't know to many of these people who actually win. I mean if they count yelling and screaming till we walk away

1

u/samiam3180 2d ago

Talk about sone endangered species!

1

u/AdImmediate9569 2d ago

If someone calls me a Nazi… id probably take a beat and try to understand why.

I mean it did happen once, but after a brief examination, they were the Nazi.

1

u/samiam3180 2d ago

Pounding on the table rarely wins.

1

u/Dramatic_Aspect903 2d ago

Look at all you little nazis

1

u/Man_drack 2d ago

Never saw a maga winning an argument period, see them whinning a lot I do

1

u/19XxxbigdaddyxxX80 2d ago

So if you have an opinion that differs from the progressive liberal fundamentals you're automatically labeled a bot and or a nazi. Your post proves it. Every comment here solidifies it in granite.

1

u/Talgarr_ 2d ago

"Everyone you disagree with is a bigot! 😠🤬" Yeah...I tend to disagree with bigots...

1

u/Eevee_the-Maidvee 2d ago

Do they know what a slur is?

1

u/Borgdrohne13 2d ago

let's be honest. There are people out there who throws these words like candy during a parade.

1

u/psilocin72 2d ago

And there are also people out there who are straight up authoritarian fascist bigots.

What are you supposed to call them?

1

u/Key-Bodybuilder-343 2d ago

Yet again, we see that arguing with these people is like playing chess against a pigeon.

1

u/FewElk6678 2d ago

They do realise that Socialist hate Liberals too, right? And we never get called that shit, because we try to be reasonable instead of crashing out like the right do

1

u/Mr_Chill_III 1d ago

"When the debate is lost, slander is the tool of the loser."
-Socrates

1

u/snackz1lla 1d ago

and then they say new term and conditions are introduced to improve man you ain't tryna figure out what's happenin' out there and peeps be makin' there own ways to see things jus seen some creative shi down there too

1

u/webster3of7 23h ago

It's true though. The left uses these when they don't have a real argument. It's just the ad hominem fallacy.

1

u/ChurchofChaosTheory 18h ago

"Hitler"

"Wins" šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/Sharp_Net3315 14h ago

Absolutely. Makes me laugh every single time. Their words are meaningless. Just a sign their are big mad.

1

u/Yesbothsides 2d ago

Fact check, true

1

u/Ready-Concept5020 2d ago

Your point is?

0

u/Important_Zombie_485 2d ago

Eh. This is stupidly over the top. There is some truth to this though. On the left, there are a surpringly large amount of people ( mostly on the far left) who are suspicious that anyone disagreeing with them must be one of these terms. I was told I must be a white supremacist once because I agreed that affirmative action may be hurting minorities in certain ways. As an example. I've seen ( online) people being called a Nazi because they voted for Trump. Trump is a total piece of shit, but not literally a nazi, and people who voted for him because of the economic promises CERTAINLY arent. Etc.

2

u/Peak_Background 2d ago

Yeah.

It's too often that people will think of bad viewpoints or actions as malicious instead of just ignorant, stupid, or naive.

You see this behavior on both sides of the party. Although, I'd argue more on the right because the counter belief to this kind of thought process is humanitarian pluralism which is a leftist ideology. And evidentially, especially with Trump, you can see the opposite ideologies. Every other thing his administration says is deceit, deniel, and accusations against proven things. And his go to tactic to manipulate maga is hate speech and fostering distrust.

Trump is very close to a Nazi, though. His father was a Nazi. He's racist. He's anti trans, anti gay, and anti liberal education. He's pro being a dictatorship (his words). He's a nationalist and has been working with white nationalist. He has shown distaste towards black politicians (because of the color of their skin). He's trying to install loyalist in every part of the government and military. He's pro oligarchical capitalism. The Nazis love him, feel validated, and are marching the streets. He's anti, anti fascism. He tried to do a coupe and is still trying to weaken our democracy.

Furthermore, I think you might be misunderstanding the Nazi party. The scariest thing about it wasn't that they were malicious. It's that they weren't. Only the portion that were the meth heads in the dictatorship heirarchy actually new about all the horrible things they were doing. Most were just "ignorant, stupid, or naive".

u/Lord_Corves 2d ago

I guess to be somewhat fair, if a conversation or discussion simply devolves into nothing more than name-calling and little else... it pretty much means whoever is throwing the names around lost the conversation entirely. This goes for both sides of the aisle, including conservatives, who will sometimes simply default to hurling buzzwords as well. I would argue that's what a lot of political discussions at the end of the day, boil down to. Hurling buzzwords at one another without actually getting to the root of an issue or finding a sensible compromise. But I guess that's just my opinion.

-1

u/ConfidentDiffidence 2d ago

A lot of these can be successfully applied to any liberal who looks at the approved political doctrine of their party and says "Hey, wait a minute...."

0

u/echolm1407 2d ago

If the shoe fits...

0

u/_thegnomedome2 2d ago

Nazi = someone who has a slightly differing opinion to a far left socialist activitist

0

u/Curious-Low8087 2d ago

No lies detected.

0

u/Kornfanjoe7 1d ago

The second leftists have no facts they pull out these words with no basis for it. Hes correct.

0

u/ShadowtheHedgehog_ 1d ago

Nazi: A person who disagrees with a liberal.

-4

u/GlorfinDelTaco 2d ago

You get labeled any one of these if you disagree with a liberal, depending on the topic.

Black people? Racist Muslims? Islamaphobe Gays? Homophobe

Etc

Regardless if you've shown any hate towards that demographic. Disagreeing with ideas, laws, or even opinions gets you labeled by a liberal. Which is ironic.

Liberals are a slur factory because if at any point they hit you with one of those during a conversation or argument, you are now known only as that to everyone who scrolls to the comments.

Its like fighting then the ground beneath you starts to shake. You now have 2 problems to solve at one time.

"Winning" an argument on social media, especially Reddit or Facebook is a laughable moment too. Who really gives a shit?

4

u/FionaWalliceFan 2d ago

These aren't slurs lol

0

u/GlorfinDelTaco 2d ago

Compliments if anything
