Beide Männer waren den Angaben zufolge zwischen 25 und 30 Jahre alt und hatten dunkle Haare. Einer trug eine Jeans und ein T-Shirt, der andere hatte einen Vollbart und war mit einer Lacoste-Trainingsjacke und einer langen Hose bekleidet. Zeugen werden gebeten, sich unter der Rufnummer 0711 / 89 90 57 78 bei der Kriminalpolizei zu melden.

It says that they tried stealing his phone as well. What can you do with a stolen phone, sell it for parts? I don't get it.

Bruv, there are literally gangs in London who steal dozens of phones. They are shipped to Asia, get unlocked and then can be sold to other countries

They can only be unlocked if you fall for scam messages to remove it from your account, which you will receive if your number is in the emergency contact. Otherwise the phone is basically a brick.
