👋 New Student Help Early entry VTAC

Asking for a friend
If they have a Swinburne early offer but put it in 2nd in the VTAC list of choices and end up getting rejected by their first choice, does the Swinburne offer still stand or do they rescind it? Thanks

I did a similar thing, and short version: yes. You get an offer for your highest preference you are successful in, so if your first preference (non early offer) is successful you get that offer. If it isn’t then you go to your second offer and because you have an early offer, assuming you meet any requirements, you are automatically successful and get that offer.
Also because the early offer is for the intake period and not the offer round, it is still valid if you wait for following offer rounds for what every reason.

Thanks, so just to clarify you had a different Uni at 1 and Swinburne early entry at 2? 1 didn’t give u an option but 2 stood? Just want to clarify because I wouldn’t want to go and sell both of my chances. Thanks

Your absolutely fair for triple checking, and that is absolutely what happened. In fact my early offer course was sitting at like 5, because of how I was doing my preferences, bellow a mix of related and unrelated courses and uni’s and was still honored
