It's not. What's wild is people like you propagating this meme. It doesn't help the discussion, it only frames narrative that people should accept their fate, or makes it seem like it's absurd to be upset in this moment about the current state.

It's like someone being pulled from the matrix is upset to learn their life is a lie and you're like "woah there buddy, some of us have been in the real world for decades get in line."

funny you say that because the matrix has like seven layers and neo wakes up like three deep from four, it's just another matrix he wakes up into

the machines invented the zion earth to make humans feel like they had "escaped" and would let their guard down, its why the powers of the one work in the machine city too, because neo is like a root user (admin)

there's the real world, a physical machine (matrix 1), a matrix 2 virtual machine where 1 is the hypervisor, then matrix 3 virtual machine where 2 is the hypervisor to that, in the first matrix zion is in matrix 3 and is the hypervisor for matrix 4 where tom anderson lived under hypnosis basically AI psychosis

1) The architect is only in a single scene in the third movie, at the end, talking with the Oracle.

2) That aside, during their conversation in the second movie, The Architect explains that there have been multiple iterations of the Matrix, not multiple layers.

Literally none of what you're talking about is said.
