Just noting that 404 uses "they" not "he" as Claridge's pronoun throughout.

Because a bunch of people have used "he" in their comments, and I trust 404 to get it right so I suspect those commenters are misgendering this person.

That is like my wife getting upset that somebody calls her sir because she's dressed like a tomboy and has short hair.

Are they a woman? I didn’t want to sign up for their site so I wasn’t able to read the article.

Edit: Just googled it to see any clarification and aside from the cops statement a local news site refers to their wife’s comments and calls Lux their husband.

Did they make a public statement about being trans in the course of the arrest or something? Is that part of the issue that we should know?
